Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk 2 GB Class 2 SD Flash Memory Card SDSDB-2048-A11Customer Review: Great memory Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great memory card with tons of storage! On my SD400, I can store 774 pictures or 17 minutes of video at the highest quality settings- thats alot of pictures! Not only does this card have tons of storage but it is also fast with hardly any time between taking pictures (at least with my camera). This card can be a real life saver if you want to take alot of video/photos but aren't around a computer (ex.- if your at a theme park but can't upload your files to your laptop), just be sure to bring an extra battery. This memory card is a great buy if you want tons of reliable storage for your SD supported device.
[shipping note: I choose to get standard shipping (from USPS) and when I recieved my package, they set it right underneath my mailbox at the end of my driveway- in plain site, just waiting for someone to grab it. They've brought packages to my front door before- why didn't they this time? Next time I plan on getting shipping from UPS- at least I know they won't leave my package lying next to the road.]
Customer Review: Beware of Sandisk Summary: 1 Stars
I recently read an article of counterfeit items coming through a variety of channels. I have a bunch of Sandisk memory devices and I found three out of the 8 were counterfeit, including one very expensive CF card.
Sandisk might be a fine manufacturer and getting a bad rap because of the counterfeit items.
But as a buyer you've got to ask yourself two questions:
1. If some of these have even come through Amazon, which is a very reputable company in my opinion, what's my risk in buying a Sandisk device? This is particularly true when you can buy an equivalent Kingston device for less.
2. What is Sandisk doing to go after the counterfeit market? When this problem happened to Microsoft they clearly went after the perpetrators, let everyone know what was happening so they could better avoid the problems, and creatively came up with solutions to help fix the problem. I've got the strong feeling that Sandisk would rather hide the problem after talking with their support.
Customer Review: works great in my camera, Fast enough, no problems with reading. Summary: 5 Stars
I just recently bought a panasonic Lumix lz5, and I picked up this 2gb card to go with it since the store had it on sale. So far, no problems. It performs well for my average uses. I have prior memory cards and mp3 players from sandisk and I have had good luck, so I have some trust in the company. They do make the ultra SD which is reportedly a faster reading card, but for my use, this should suffice. My camera is 6mp, and can take 665 pictures at highest resolution, not bad. Check this out, great value, and I have had great luck with this companies products. Note, my card readers that i have used actually aren't sandisks, and I have never had a loading or reading problem. If a reader does, it may either be an older reader not able to read the large 2gb, or potentially a computer software problems (may need driver updates etc). Check this card out, hard to beat price for name brand.
Customer Review: Ridiculous value for the $ Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this card for my little handheld camcorder and it has worked amazingly. Lots of bang for the buck. My VuPoint PMP DV can record 3 hours of video and store 1,395 pictures all on this one little card. It has seen some hard traveling and fairly extreme weather conditions and I've had no issues with freezing up, lost memory or file corruption. Download speed to the computer isn't particularly fast but I'm not sure I can blame that on the card. My only beef is that it is not actually 2 MB, it is more like 1.89, but all SD card manufactures "round up" when they talk memory, and in any case this one delivers plenty for the casual videographer/picture taker (if 1,395 pictures isn't enough capacity for you, you must REALLY like the scenery). Bottom line, this card is a rarity: an inexpensive piece of hardware that delivers nearly all of what it promises.
Customer Review: 2 gb sandisc Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this item to go with my first digital camera (Pentax optio e40)Since I have no experience with memory cards I can only say its working fine, some pictures fantastic, some not so great, but its myself who has to learn everything about using the camera. The price for this product was great( $15.87). After looking at prices for other memory cards this was a great buy. Did have some questions however. When I first inserted the card and was learning how to use the camera, I brought up very very faint images of someone elses production. 2 faint images. These were not sample pictures, something totally different with a page of production credits etc. and really wondered if the disc was recycled. It was packed as completely new and as I said I have not had any problems with it but I am curious about the 2 faint images.
