Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk 1 GB Secure Digital SD Card (SDSDB-1024, Bulk Package)Customer Review: Seem to be O.K. Summary: 4 Stars
I ordered four of these items, and so far, they have done well. No failures, yet. Although I had a CF card of this brand that failed (my only card that did, ever), luckily before I had used it on a trip. San Disk gave me a bigger capacity card, promptly, by a phone call to their tech support, and I was satisfied. I do bring along back-up, so I didn't miss any shots due to less memory.
It may be better to have several smaller cards, as you don't have all your eggs in one basket. Terrible to have just one 4 GB card, and then it fails. I tried then to have different cards from different manufacturers, but because of the good deal, here, decided to buy all my cards the same way. Just can't find a better price! Now, memory cards are available everywhere, so I can just go to a store and buy another one, should one or two fail on a road trip.
My new 7 MP Nikon Coolpix manual, then, says a higher speed card may be required to prevent quits during TV mode recording, but I shot once for 40 seconds, and that came out fine. They'll be good up to about 11 minutes on one 1 GB card, but I haven't needed to shoot that long. I'm probably going to get a high speed card when I can get another good deal. The lowering price is now a better, great bargain, and if I should need more SD cards, I know where to get them!
Thank you, Amazon!
Customer Review: Beware excessive shipping costs! Summary: 1 Stars
I ordered eight SD cards because the price seemed quite good, then was surprised to find that they had charged $3.99 _PER ITEM_ to ship. Total for merchandise was $36; total for shipping was $32! The package only weighed a pound or so and was shipped via standard USPS.
When I complained to Blue Proton about the excessive shipping cost, they issued a $4 "courtesy refund" that was more of an insult than a courtesy. Other reviewers have mentioned this $4 refund, so it seems that B.P. uses it as a way to mollify upset customers. Don't be fooled! I contacted Amazon customer service and escalated my complaints to B.P., and I was able to get a FULL refund.
The apparent reason why Blue Proton can sell cards so cheaply (besides the possibility that the cards are counterfeit, as some reviewers allege) is that they are making their money on shipping. I suggest that you do not order anything from B.P. There are plenty of reputable dealers who might charge a little more for the product but they are honest about where they make their money.
Customer Review: Memory In A Flash Summary: 4 Stars
With a lot of people switching over to digital cameras to save their precious memories on film, it is very hard to find what is the best in memory to save all your great moments. Fortunately for Sandisk, they definitely know how to honestly make a great impression. This 1 GB SD Memory Card works great at storing all your favorite memories, from trips to moments with your friends and family on digital film, to use on your camera, photo albums, and home movies. Not only that, it also works great in video games too. For anyone who owns the Nintendo Wii, you can safely use the Sandisk 1 GB Memory Card to store all your saved video game data on games like Super Mario Galaxy, as well as games you've downloaded for the Wii from online. I really recommend you have this as a must buy for any digital camera or game system that needs the Sandisk treatment.

Customer Review: BUYERS BEWARE Summary: 1 Stars
I PURCHASED THE SANDISK 1GB FROM EEK TECHNOLOGY FOR MY CANON POWERSHOT A510. THE PACKAGE ARRIVED PROMPTLY AFTER BEING CHARGED $12.00 FOR SHIPPING AND HANDLING WHEN THE ACTUAL COST OF POSTAGE WAS ONLY .67 CENTS. MY COMPLAINT BROUGHT A REFUND OF ONLY 4.00, LEAVING THE COMPANY A WHOPPING $8.00 TO STICK THE ITEM IN A BUBBLE ENVELOPE AND SHIP IT.....A VERY NICE PROFIT.
NOW THE REALLY BAD NEWS......THE CARD SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK. I FORMATTED IT, TRIED IT IN FRIENDS CAMERAS AND DID EVERY THING IMAGINABLE BUT TO NO AVAIL. WHEN I CONTACTED EEK THEY REPLIED THAT THE 30 DAY RETURN PERIOD HAD EXPIRED ( ONLY BY HOURS DEPENDING ON WHEN THE PERIOD BEGINS ) AND THAT I NOW HAD TO DEAL DIRECTLY WITH SANDISK.
THIS IS NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS AND I WOULD CAUTION OTHERS WHO SENSE A "GOOD BUY" TO REMEMBER THE OLD SAYING " YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR".

Customer Review: Hard to find 1GB SD Cards available at Amazon Summary: 5 Stars
I have a BOSS MicroBR, digital recorder that uses 1GB SD Cards for storage. There is limited availability of compatible 1GB or smaller capacity SD cards that work this device. The cards I ordered and received work just fine in my MicroBR. I searched everywhere looking for compatible 1GB cards, I am happy to say that Amazon had a vendor with this product is stock. The cards arrived promptly and in perfect condition. I am pleased with the service and will be ordering more items at Amazon.
