Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk 1 GB MicroSD Card (SDSDQ-1024-A10M, US Retail Package)

Customer Review: Very adaptable...but small
Summary: 4 Stars

The positive about this MicroSD is that it holds a lot of memory and is versitile because you can switch the information between different devices that use the standard or MicroSD sized slots...which obviously makes for less steps you have to take to move information. The only negative that I have had with it is trying to remove the MicroSD from the adapter. It's not easy...and it doesn't matter if you have fingernails. In one sense that's good because it doesn't slide out easily, so you don't have to worry about it falling out and losing it. However, you do have to worry about popping it out and flying somewhere, then spending the time to try and find it...and it's small. All I can say is, pull it out at/over a table. Bottom line...great price, great product

Customer Review: SanDisk 1 GB MicroSD Card
Summary: 5 Stars

This card was purchased for an LG VX8300 cellphone, that is equipped with a camera, video recorder, and MP3 player. As soon as I installed it in the cellphone, it was immediately recognized and formatted by the phone. I now have the option to store any files on the cellphone's internal memory, or on the MicroSD Card (which frees up the phone's internal memory for other things). And with an inexpensive card reader that attaches to your personal computer's USB port, and the adapter included with the MicroSD Card, you can download photo and video files from your MicroSD Card onto your PC (sorry, I haven't tried to download MP3 files yet). So far, it's worked great! And the price on Amazon is the best price I could find anywhere......!

Customer Review: Works fantastically with Motorola E815!
Summary: 5 Stars

I ordered this product knowing full well that Motorola had told me it was impossible, due to hardware and firmware limitations with the E815, to use any size card higher than 512 MB. Well, they obviously never tried anything larger because the 1GB will work. Simply format the card the first time you use it by going to My Computer, right click the removable drive and select Format. (Assuming that you have USB card reader)

When moving files to the card from the phone and vice versa, there is a 0.16 MB/sec transfer rate. Pretty slow considering that it's a direct connection, but at least you can dump those video and photo files straight from your phone to the card!

Good purchase, and for a great price.

Customer Review: GPS 60CX 1 GBMicro SD Card from San Disk
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this memory card for use in my new Garmin GPS and it works very well. I have both the city navigation map and the topographic map products from Garmin and the GPS allows me to switch to the map set that I need. I loaded the topo maps for all of the Southeastern U.S. and the street maps for most of the East Coast, Dallas Ft Worth, Lower CA and Nevada, and the area around Seattle onto the one card. If you desire to get a memory card for a GPS, I recommend that you get one at least this large because mapping data does require a lot of space and it can take a while to load on the card so you probably don't want to have to change it too often.

Customer Review: Pure 'SanDisk'faction
Summary: 5 Stars

I have never been disappointed by SanDisk and this purchase is no different. Of course there is a price difference from the other no name brands on here but I have other friends buy those and after a few months, they start to act a little funky or didn't show the full amount of space on the card. I bought this card to use with my T-Mobile Dash and it works flawlessly. My only regret is that the price has significantly dropped in the past two months, which is no surprise when it comes to electronics. I paid about $48 for the 1 GB and I now see the bulk packaged card listed for about $18. Regardless, it's worth the money, which ever amount you spend.
