Others have said that your degree of satisfaction with this tripod will depends on how you intend to use it. I bought it to support an RCA EZ205 Small Wonder Digital Camcorder with 2 Hour Recording and 1GB Included Memory to record music rehearsals with my duet partner. We've got instruments, music stands, instrument stands, and other things to deal with, so I put weight at a premium. I was amazed to find a unit not only so light but also so inexpensive. As a Prime member, Amazon's price of about $15 was a veritable steal for this piece of equipment! I found it to be highly versatile and well constructed. The materials may be "cheap" but they are light weight and very functional. All the basic features you're looking for in a tripod are here and even ones you didn't expect! I was surprised to find 2 levels on this little goody! The unit can be stabilized by attaching a weight to the hook mounted underneath it. The height is easily adjusted and the locking clamps all seem to be of good construction. All in all, it far exceeded my expectations - especially given the price.Customer Review: Price and expectation are perfectly in-line

This is a great little tripod for travel and amateur shooting. It is sturdy and well built enough that it feels like a real bargain for less than $15. It also comes with a great little travel case that definitely comes in handy for transport. Also, another reviewer complained about it missing the weigh-down. Mine did come with the center weight-hook. If yours doesn't, perhaps you should exchange it. Mine looks exactly like the one in the picture.
I am only giving it 4 stars because I am extremely fussy and would have liked a smoother action on the friction head, but for the money I definitely won't complain.
Customer Review: Horrible Tripod. Invest a few extra bucks and avoid this one

This tripod is horrible. After just 3 days of use the rod that raises it up and down snapped; it came off the track and I can't get it back on. Luckily, when this happened, I managed to catch my $3000 camera as it tipped over.
The panning is NOT fluid. It sticks and you can never get a good shot. It's never level when the rod is raised up (prior to it breaking!) since it's so flimsy. It rocks back and forth (the rod) with the slighest breeze. You might as well just not even use a tripod.
Save your money and invest an extra $10-$20 to get something professional. This one truly sucks.

I have had this tripod for around 3 weeks now and have used it in many weather conditions. Overall the build is cheap and the weaknesses are the plastic moving parts. The screws are all metal and this makes the build a little stronger. The legs are great as are the levelers and options. Little stiff to make minor adjustments but I imagine these decrease with use.
Overall this is a great tripod for the price. The lightweight aluminium and plastic build are okay. I would recommend this tripod for the average user. The build is relatively small also which makes it easy for quick use in tight areas.
