Customer Review: Cheap Plastic

This product feels extremely cheap and as if its going to break in my hands. I was worried the entire time my T2i was on it. The plastic pieces feel like their going to snap and the locks for the tripod legs bend in weird ways. I have only used this tripod once and I must admit it stood just fine one a level surface for still shots. However, i do quite a bit of filming with my T2i and I'm worried that the panning on this tripod will be choppy. Its not extremely fluid it its movements and doesn't handle the way i would imagine. On the flip-side, this tripod is under $20 so i assume this fits into the category of you get what you pay for. In which case i give this tripod a 3 out of 5.Customer Review: Best buy for price

It's very lightweight (obviously delicate), carrying case comes handy. It also has a pastic handle attached to one of the legs (so no need to fold it and keep in carrying case all the time. You can easily carry it with handle. I have middle range degital camera and camcoder. Not sure if it can take heavy load.
Legs can be easily adjusted. But head of the tripod is little tricky to adjust while moving camera around while attached to tripod (But it may be because of my poor skiils).
Bottom line, if you don't have any, buy this one. Worth spending $10 on top of your $1000 trip. (But don't furget you will need to check it in probably, first check-in bag $15 on most airlines).

I bought mine while it's on sale around USD20.. It's light and i love how easy you can adjust the tripod with it's snap ons. It has two level guides and it really helps me a lot in taking my shots. It comes with a carrying case that makes it more handy. If you don't want to bring the case around, you can hold it through it's built-in handle grip. What else can I say, it's plastic so it's really light BUT it's durable enough to hold my DSC-H20. I also like the DETACHABLE camera dock (w/ hinge)... yes, it's detachable and it's very convenient..
I am going to San Francsico, Yosimite, Las Vegas and Grand Canyon this July and I am surely going to take this tripod with me.

OK, it is a bit flimsy and cheap looking, but that's what you get for under $20 (and eligible for free shipping!), and that's exactly what I wanted. I'm a beginner, so am not prepared to pay for something I don't quite need yet, and may never need.
It's light, extends to 57", has a hook for a bag at the bottom to give it extra stability if needed, has 2 spirit levels, quick release lever, handle, soft sponge bits on the legs (not quite sure what the point is of those, but it feels nice), and has 3 way turning at the top. Also has movable feet for good traction. All for under $20.
Not used it for anything heavy duty yet, but so far so good.

I bought this because of the low price. I wasn't disappointed by the product at all. The only problems I had were with the tilt joint. It had some plastic mold left overs that got in the way, keeping it from laying perfectly level. I took a piece of sand paper to it, and it works perfectly now. Also, the feet on the legs are not connected very well. I put some super glue on them to ensure they never come out of the aluminum legs.
I think it's worth the price. I am pretty good with repairs, construction, etc. so I am OK with a few modifications. If you need something to work straight out of the box, you might want a higher quality.
