Customer Review: Get hot and no 'ready' lights

Basically the set is so cheap that it is still a good deal if they did not give you the crappy charger with it. Less than seven bucks for four batteries and a charger is a joke.The charger runs a tad hot and does not warn when fully charged but if you charge overnight and unplug in the AM they seem to hold their charge well.
Good deal, we bought 4.

Got this 2 days ago and instructions say 18-20 hrs for charging but they fail to tell you that it's not an automatic shut off..I forgot that I had plugged it in and I was lucky the batteries didn't explode...They were so hot that I could hardly hold them.....Not sure about the quality of the batteries but the charger is going in the trash; I have others.Customer Review: cheap and scary. This one of the scariest things I have ever plugged in an outlet in my house. There is no auto shut-off and it runs pretty hot. A charger should at least shut off when complete. Also if you look at the charge time chart it takes forever (20hrs) to charge 2500mah batteries. What about when you just need to top them off, you have no idea.Customer Review: Batteries charged fine, but charger wouldn't turn off.

This was a good deal for the batteries alone--that's why I bought it. However, after 36 hours, the lights were still on the charger, indicating that it was still charging (or not, as the case may be.)
I unplugged it. I checked the batteries--they were fully charged--and threw the charger away. I've got others....

I bought my charger 4 years ago when I purchased my digital camera and I am still using it along with the original batteries. I use them quite frequently, I am very impressed that both the charger and batteries have lasted this long. The batteries hold a great charge too.
