The 25 foot cable would not allow transmission of 1920x1080 images from a Dell laptop to a Sony Bravia 1920x1080 TV. An Office Depot 15 foot cable worked well. The supplier said it was a cable length issue.Customer Review: Does the job!

I plug it from a laptop to a monitor. I have a lennovo laptop and I wanted to have a duplicate view on a monitor, so I preesed the buttons: FN&F7 simultaneously. and it worked.
