Customer Review: Does not match my SATA connectors

I got this enclosure after my friend's laptops computer died and we needed to backup his data using this failed internal HDD as external using this enclosure.
The SATA connectors dont match at all... The internal HDD was SATA 5400rpm and up to 3Gbps - which is the standard - and yet it does not match the my connectors... it is crazy. I paid a one-day shipping for it and I wish I did not. The good thing is: delivery and amazon service is always exceptional.

I was concerned that the old "you get what you pay for" would be applicable here since the enclosure is much less expensive that others I looked at. When my HP 9000 series Motherboard self destructed and HP refused to fix it I had to get my files off the old disc drive.
Slapped it into the enclosure, not to worry. Works as promised, got my files off the old HDD to the new PC and am getting ready to reformat so I can have extra data storage.
Boycott HP!

I bought this enclosure because my HP laptop's mobo went kaput, and I needed to copy data from its hard drive before it was sent back for repair. I received this device quickly, and the packaging and instructions were impressive (easy to read & understand). The enclosure is plug n play, easy to set up (tiny screwdriver - don't lose the screws!), and performed as needed. I plan to buy another 2.5 hard drive to use this as a backup/storage device. I bought a Hard Disk from 320 GB and 7.200 RPM for replace my internall HD from my MB Pro 15" (late 2006). I fit the HD from my machine (Serial Ata 120 GB) in this case and IT'S PERFECT. IT FIT GOOD. This Case works very very well, It's very quiet and Fast.
It does not require of external electricity, only 1 USB connector. But it come with 2 USB connector, because you can receive much more speed when you connect both at the same time.

This enclosure came ready to take the HDd from my dead HP Pavilion notebook, it has since helped me recover my files and continue my work that was stalled. This enclosure is small, fits in a shirt pocket, is made of an aluminum extrusion with plastic ends and fits the 2.5" SATA drive just fine. It gets recognized under Vista in a snap, the driver loads automatically. The transfer speeds seem as fast as my other external drives. I would buy another, for sure.
