I bought these gloves for Iowa winters (down to -20 F with wind chill) so that I could still use my iPhone while waiting for the bus. They keep your hands reasonably warm, though on colder days I have to keep my hands in my jacket pockets to keep them warm enough. However, this could probably be solved with a simple pair of warm glove liners. As far as the iPhone functionality goes, these gloves do alright, but not great. Typing on the keyboard is understandably more difficult than usual, but is still very manageable. The bigger issue I see is that the conductive material is sewn onto the area near the pad of the thumb, rather than the side. This is an issue because you typically don't touch the iPhone screen with the pad of your thumb, but rather the edge. However, this too is bearable. It sounds like these are currently the best commercial choice for an iPhone/iPod-compatible glove.
