Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SE Battery Tester (AAA, AA, C, D, and 9 Volt)Customer Review: works but could be better Summary: 4 Stars
The readings match that of an A.W. Sperry multimeter/voltmeter. So I can tell you it works! However, unlike my previous battery tester, it doesn't have slots for you to easily position the battery. You'll need 2 hands: one on the battery and one on the meter. As a result, a younger child may not be able to do it right and end up throwing out good batteries. For me, using it is almost as cumbersome as using the Sperry multimeter.
Customer Review: ONE WORKED, ONE DID NOT Summary: 2 Stars
GOOD THING THAT I BOUGHT TWO, ONE WAS DEFECTIVE. EVERY TEST WAS IN THE RED- FOR REPLACEMENT. COMPARED TO ANOTHER BRAND OF TESTER, THE BATTS WERE JUST FINE. SECOND UNIT WORKED OK AS WELL. VERY REASONABLE PRICE, UNLESS YOU HAVE TO SEND IT BACK, AND RE-ORDER. COST (for Amazon) OF SENDING IT BACK DOESN'T SEEM TO BE WORTH IT.
WOULD RATHER SPEND A LITTLE MORE AND GET A BETTER UNIT; BUT ONLY THOSE LISTED FOR AMAZON PRIME.
Customer Review: Mine broke.... Summary: 4 Stars
...but it did last for a while (more than a year). I might have dropped it and something got loose inside. For the price I paid for it, I think it really was a good deal. There are a lot of battery testers you can buy - some even sell as much as 30-50$ (some even need a battery to test a battery). So, why would you pay more? You just want to know if the battery is good or bad. This is good enough. Simple and easy to use.
Customer Review: Nifty, easy to use gadget Summary: 5 Stars
We needed a simple, inexpensive tester to assess the zillions of batteries we have at home thanks to many, many battery-operated toys received at the holidays. Works just like you'd think it would. I admit that the product description is a little basic, but if you're only paying $4 for a battery tester, you can assume that it doesn't have all the bell and whistles. It's so easy to use, my 7 y.o. AND my husband can use it. ;)
Customer Review: Not Accurate Summary: 2 Stars
I got this to weed out brand new batteries that I know got thrown into the recyling battery bin. This tester read that almost all of the batteries in my bin were either "good" or "low" when I know most of them are all used up and junk. It seems that unless the battery was completely dead and drained, it had a reading of "good". It was cheap and worth a shot, but it's not accurate and I can't trust the reading.
