Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SE Battery Tester (AAA, AA, C, D, and 9 Volt)

Customer Review: Straightforward...
Summary: 5 Stars

Tester seems to work as described. Not rocket science. Seems to accept and read full range of batteries. I don't know if the tester would survive too many drops from a tabletop; it's not THAT solidly built. But it seems durable enough. Also, I've tested batteries with it that tested fine, but then when put into more-sensitive equipment like smoke alarms, the alarms started making their "low battery" indications. So, not sure how accurate it is, BUT, it DOES PAY for itself in terms of not throwing out batteries that can still be used.

Customer Review: Simple, inexpensive, easy to use...
Summary: 5 Stars

...and it arrived as scheduled. Just what I needed to check a drawer full of batteries and my rechargeables. I bought a multimeter tester a while back, which worked well and seemed fine. But it needs it's own 9V battery. I kept leaving it on and running down the battery while it sat in the drawer. It is also more complicated to use for just testing batteries -- I forget what setting to use; holding the tester tips on the ends of the batteries not as quick and easy as you would think. Anyway, happy with this battery tester so far (2 weeks).

Customer Review: Does exactly what you want a battery tester to do!
Summary: 5 Stars

This inexpensive device ships FREE! It does exactly what you want a battery tester to do - tell you if a battery is good or bad. No need to interpret a multimeter or fiddle with electrodes. The needle bounces to "good" or "replace." Easy. I don't know what these people need rubber bands for (other reviews). It takes one second to make contact with the battery and read the meter. There is no need to hold it in for more than a split second. You just push the slider to the battery with your thumb and your done. Easy, cheep, and accurate.

Customer Review: Little Inexpensive Battery Tester
Summary: 4 Stars

Its small, its light, and it tests batteries from D cells, button cells, to 9V batteries. It is dirt simple to use, lay the battery between the red arm and the black arm, slide the red arm to pinch the battery, and read the meter scale. Red, its dead; yellow its pretty used; green good to go.

There's one fault with this tester, the needle is not dampened. So as you test a battery the test needle bounces back and forth a lot before it settles down. Its annoying. But for the price, I got over the little problem.

Customer Review: Seems to work alright
Summary: 3 Stars

This battery tester seems to work alright. I tested it on batteries that all work and it did show different levels of good.

I wish I had a battery I knew was dead (I'll try to find one) as I want to see what reading it gives.

The one problem, and it may not be a legitimate one, is that I could get NO reading from a 9volt battery. This may have simply been the battery, but I'll have to try a new one to see if it's this tester itself is faulty.

(I hope to come back for an update soon)
