Functionally the camera is a good product. It's easy to use and download content and also compact and comfortable. The bonus is being waterproof.
My first model for 4x the cost of the second died within a year, which is why I replaced it with this one, since I had already purchased the expensive memory cards and batteries. I still have 8 older video cameras and numberous digitial stills and all still work, so it is a disappointment this screen stopped working within a few months.
The main weakness is having only a screen and not through the lens viewfinder. In bright light you really cannot see what you are filming.

I definitely like this camera. Live up here in Washington near Seattle so it's nice that if i want to mess around I can take it outside while it's raining. Recently took it down with me to San Diego and went to the beach, filmed a lot there and it was just great to have. Takes decent pictures and the videos are nice and do load very easy.
Cons: Seen it before with other people, sand gets in the small cracks and makes noise when you move it but hey. And it can get slippery in the water so if you don't have a wrist strap get one, or at least get a piece of ribbed rubber to put on the side to improve your grip on it.

I purchased this after seeing an ad in MacWorld detailing it's waterproof capability which would be useful for skiing and kyaking. The video is of a higher quality than I expected - like a much larger camera. It zooms well and the image is very sharp. The still pictures are very good but the shutter button takes practice to smoothly operate. The on screen info is very complete and will become more useful as my experience grows. The moveable screen allows a great deal of versatility and ability to do candid shooting. I bought a 2 gig SD card for $20 which I think will be adequate for an upcoming vacation.Customer Review: Amazing

I recently just bought this item off amazon about a month ago and have been looking around for six months trying to see if it was worth it. Now that I actually have it I absolutely love it. Its very small but very stable and doesnt feel cheep like i was afraid it might. The video quality is very good for what it is and amazing in good lighting. I made a whole short film with this camera alone its just plane fun to have around. Don't hesitate i did for a while but have absolutely no regrets. Just a side note... the fact that its water proof never gets old take it anywhere film for no reason.Customer Review: GREAT DUAL CAMCORDER!!! Waterproof too!!!

I bought 3 of these I liked them so much!! Great in summer or when on a tour(and weather is not so great)When everyone else has to leave cameras at home or under jacket cause of rain/bad weather, you will be the only one with full pictures and video of your travel tour!!! We were!!
