Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sanyo Eneloop AA NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries - 4 PackCustomer Review: Good- But I still have battery problems- FIND OUT WHY! Summary: 4 Stars
If you leave these (or other NIMH) batteries in a device that keeps them drained they will become damaged.
CAUSE: 4 Eneloop AA batteries left in a radio that was not shut off for 1 month.
EFFECT: Holding minimal charge even after refreshing and conditioning.
I am going to be playing the 'find the good battery' game with my Eneloops. BUMMER. It is not the batteries fault as any brand would not recover after held drained for weeks. I replaced all my old Nimh batteries with Eneloop- about $150 worth. I thought Eneloop was the answer and holy grail of Nimh batteries but be warned of what can damage them!
You have been told the reality of Nimh batteries. Please mark this review as helpful as I did not fully understand what was happening to make my batteries bad and people really don't talk about it at the review sites, or here.
SOLUTION: A smart battery that halts the circuit when it reaches %1 charge. Why not?
Customer Review: Excellent Rechargeable Batteries! Summary: 5 Stars
I have a digital camera that uses pairs of AA batteries at a time. The camera is an older Sony DSC-W5 and it likes to eat batteries quickly. Eneloop batteries are much better than traditional rechargeables. They have an extremely low self discharge rate. This means you can charge them and still be able to use them next year. I've found that Eneloop batteries usually out preform my 2500mAh Energizer rechargeables, because the Energizers self discharge so quickly. I can't find Eneloops in any of our local stores, even Target and Wal-Mart. I have found some Duracell "Pre-Charged" batteries that appear to be rebranded Eneloops. Other than the wrapper, they look (and preform) like Eneloops, down to the terminals. Ray-O-Vac has some Hyrbid batteries that compete with Sanyo's Eneloop. Eneloops (and the Duracells) are made in Japan, while the Hrybrids are made in China. I guess it's your choice but, I'd much rather support Japan than China. Overall, Eneloops are worth buying.
Customer Review: As good as they say! Summary: 5 Stars
I have never been into rechargeable batteries. Family and friends have, and from their experiences, I can see that it's just not worth it. Rechargeable battery technology just isn't quite there yet.
Or so I thought. Until I tried these. I have been absolutely impressed with how long the charge lasts, both in use and in storage. And performance is even better than regular AAs; at least, the flash on my digital camera recharges quicker than it used to.
I have purchased over two dozen batteries and two chargers, and I'm switching out all my devices -- remotes, video game controllers, etc. -- as their batteries die. I keep a few extra near the charger so that whenever one set runs dry, I can pop in new ones while the old ones are charging. Because the batteries have a long storage life, this works perfectly!
I have also recommended these batteries to a few friends and everyone who has tried them has been pleasantly surprised.
Customer Review: Wow Summary: 5 Stars
With my battery hungry Samsung digital camera, my name brand Nicd cells were depleted within either 5 photos or 10 seconds of video. Literally, the camera would shut down not to be turned back on until I purchased fresh Nicds for 5 more pictures, don't even ask about generic batteries, I might as well just throw my money away.
But these ENELOOP batteries are my saviour in the battery world, they power my wireless Xbox and PS2 controllers now, they power my digital camera, making full use of the 512 memory with battery life to spare, they also power various remotes and such around the house. The batteries being pre-charged is just icing on the long-battery-life cake.
For a battery purchase, you can't go wrong, and they're the same price as regular Nicd style batteries, so even if you don't recharge them, they'll still be cheaper in the long run (given the longer MAH rating_, amazing.
Customer Review: Outstanding Batteries!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Have you ever found a perfect product? I believe I found one with these batteries and the charger. Every review about these batteries was correct: good out of the package, last very loooong time in my Canon A710IS digital camera. It's hard to believe that somebody will have a technology that far superior than anybody else. I also bought 2 chargers: one for 2 batteries (can be used overseas) and one for 4 batteries (can be used only in US). Knowing now, how long the batteries last I would buy only 2-battery charger, as I don't need more than 1 set for several days. Before I buy anything, I do an extensive research. So I found a very few sites that review these batteries at all, and if you are reading reviews on Amazon, you are in luck, because you will end up with GE/Sanyo and will never regret it. I am only surprise that GE doesn't do an advertisement campain for a product that has no rivals.
