SANYO eneloop 4 Pack AA NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries
These batteries are outstanding! I bought them considering the fact they will last shorter because of low maH range, but they outfill my expectations! I took over 300 photos and several videos with my Canon Powershot 590IS before they died. Considering they usually come 75% charged from the fabric, this is a great performance! The fact that they have longer periods of self discharge is the most important thing to consider if you are an ocasional shooter like I am. I ordered another pack of 4AA and 4AAA.

Now that I have taken thousands of pictures with my camera, I can tell you that the average battery life is around 500 pics. These batteries are out of the league!

My husband and I traveled across South, Central and North America with this pack of rechargeables and the charger, and we thought they worked perfectly. Mostly just used them for our camera, which we shot over 12GB of photos, and the charge on the batteries would last a very good amount of time, and recharge quickly and consistently. We've used other rechargables and chargers in the past, and they either do not hold a charge for a long time in a camera or they lose their chargability after just a few recharges. Because of the the bad experiences, we were hesitant - but these outperformed by far.
We happened to leave the charger and a couple batteries at a hotel near the end of our trip, so we're buying a new set to replace the lost one. Getting some additional batteries to go with this so we can use them throughout the house as well.

I bought these batteries to replace my stock of alkaline batteries for various purposes. The low self discharge makes that possible. Nearly all of my devices now have these batteries in them. They seem to perform just as advertised. They are a little expensive up front, but if they continue to work for years the cost is really a very small consideration. The charger that comes with these batteries is just a typical NiMH charger, any such charger will work. Also the shelf life of these batteries means that you don't really need multiple chargers.
These batteries are an easy choice for nearly any device. Many reviewers, here and elsewhere, have attested to these batteries performance. I recommend these batteries highly as a general alkaline replacement and a standard rechargeable replacement for all but very specific devices.

These are hands down the longest lasting rechargable batteries I have ever come across.
Right when I recieved this order, which took only 2 days from the time i placed my order till i recieved it. I ripped open the package, took the batteries out and installed all four, AA batteries into my Canon Powershot A620. It has now been 7 days, of continuous use with the LCD screen, and these batteries still haven't ran out.
Its starting to freak me out that they have not ran out of juice yet! Its crazy. So i took them out of my camera after nearly 8 days of heavy use, straight from the package, to my camera, and charged them up.
These batteries are beyond crazy. They just don't ever run out of juice!
These batteries are probably the smartest investment I have made in a very very long time.

Let's face it, the old NIMH batteries were an improvement over NiCad batteries, but would still lose their charge at the most inconvenient moments. I have found myself bringing my charger with me on vacations to ensure that my NIHM batteries wouldn't fail on me in my camera. The Sanyo Eneloop batteries have now re-defined rechargeable batteries by holding their charge when not in use. I use the Sanyo Eneloops in power hungry devices such as my electric toothbrush and remotes for the Nintendo Wii. It is amazing how many batteries that thing goes through. I have always cringed at the thought of tossing away spent batteries, but now feel with the Sanyo Eneloop batteries, there is no need to buy those packs of alkaline batteries. Whenever purchasing a gift that requires AA batteries, I include the Sanyo Eneloop batteries and charger.
