Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sanyo 277265 Eneloop Power Pack with Battery Charger, 8 AA & 2 AAA Batteries Plus 4 C & 4 D Size Adapter (CostCo Kit #2)

Customer Review: Deceptive product photo, bad advertisement
Summary: 1 Stars

Buyer beware!!

Be aware that you are buying ten batteries not eighteen. Their choice of the word "adaptor" can lead one to believe that this is a "charging adaptor", when in fact it is a spacer or sleeve for "C" and "D" size batteries.

Be careful from which company you puchase, also. The company I bought from, TechNGnet, has an extremely severe return policy. In short it would cost me more to return a bad product than to keep it.

The product page needs to reflect that these "C" and "D" spacers, sleeves are spacers not batteries. A side-view photo would help.

Customer Review: Eneloops are my favorites - but look out for NEW ONES!
Summary: 5 Stars

Eneloop batteries are my favorite AA and AAA rechargeable batteries, but there are newer ones out now!

The newer Eneloops:

* Have 1500 charge cycles (instead of 1000)
* Retain 85% capacity after one year, 80% after two, and 75% capacity after three years
* Are better in cold temperatures... now rated for down to -20°C instead of -10°C.
* Are pre-charged with solar energy (instead of regular energy) in Japan
* AA: Have minimum 1900 mAh (same as old ones)
* AAA: Have minimum 750 mAh (same as old ones)
* Are MADE IN JAPAN (same as old ones)

Customer Review: Eneloop Rechargable Battery Set
Summary: 4 Stars

Going green? Start by reducing waste with non-rechargeable batteries. I bought this rechargeable battery set because I use a lot of batteries, including in my wireless keyboard. They are easy to recharge and keep their energy for a long time.
The con to this set is with the use of AA or AAA batteries to make a C or D battery. When I got the set I found the plastic adapter for C and D batteries to be very weak. A couple were already broken.
I like the batteries, but I would recommend buying only the AA and AAA batteries for small electronic devices.

Customer Review: The perfect rechargeable
Summary: 5 Stars

I was a little leary of buying these batteries as I have been burned by rechargeable batteries before, But I have to say I am impressed. They hold there charge for a long time and provide ample power for my camera gear. I have used the C and D adapters a few times, but the life from the eneloops seems a little shorter than true C or D alkaline batteries. But for AA and AAA applications, they work well beyond expectations. Especially in flash units and motor drives for my 35mm cameras. I doubt you will be disappointed with these batteries.

Customer Review: So far so good
Summary: 4 Stars

I am no expert, really do not know the difference of good/bad rechargeable batteries, but so far they seem to be doing well, I guess I have to wait to see how long they last to decide if the expense was worth it... I have not been required to use the adapters for other sizes besides the AA and AAA, so this is another part to wait to see if it actually works... I thought there was a power reason for electrical devices to require another kind of battery besides the size of it... maybe voltage, I don't know... (and don't care actually, ja!)
