Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sanyo 2,700 mAh AA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries (4-Pack)Customer Review: Capacity not as advertised Summary: 2 Stars
I bought these batteries on the basis of the positive reviews I read here, but my experience was not as good as others. In particular, I did not get the consistency of capacity that R. Anderson reported. I used the Lacrosse BC-9009U charger's testing function to measure the capacity and got widely different numbers for the four cells, ranging from under 1000 maH to 2100 maH. I believe those numbers to be accurate, since in actual use the cells differed widely as well.
Perhaps the manufacturing process or quality control has changed since others had good experiences with these cells.
Customer Review: Excellent Batteries Summary: 5 Stars
These batteries can run for a long time on high drain devices. I use them in my mp'3 player and digital camera regularly and I can usually expect about a days worth of on and off usage. I previously had the Sanyo 2500 mAh and were impressed by their charge time and the amount of usage time that i got out of them. However with a big trip coming i decided i needed some more power to carry around with me so i opted out for these. Fast charge time using Sanyo's Super Quick Charger. I highly recommend this battery. If you buy these you know that you'll be getting a quality and reliable battery.
Customer Review: Utter garbage - avoid Summary: 1 Stars
In short... avoid - buy Eneloop instead.
These batteries botched a number of jobs I got them for - which is to power flash. Unreliable, discharge way too quickly both under load or without.
Honestly, don't waste either time or money. Never had any issues with Eneloop, which are just a bit less powerful, but have no problems whatsoever and work as they should.
I have no vested interest in either brand, just my experience. I was really shocked to see how bad those batteries were. All of them are now in the garbage here.
Customer Review: GR/SANYO rechargeable batteries. Summary: 2 Stars
I have only had the batteries for a short time, but they are working great. I have recharged all three sets "4 per set" three times each. (that's what taks to run my Canon PowerShotS2/I2 camera)all good news.I take a lot of pictures and I need 3 sets to keep me going for about 6 hours. But I know that I need another 3 sets to really keep me in the field for the day. I do alot of back packing and long walks on the beaches. These batteries are really good they have never let me down as of yet, that's why I will be getting more. All I can really say is byem.
Customer Review: Amazing Batteries! Summary: 5 Stars
I've used a number of types of rechargeable batteries from various companies in the past. I bought these batteries to power my Olympus FL50 flash for my DSLR camera. Other rechargeable AA batteries only last for 150-200 flashes, with a slower and slower recycle time in between flashes. These Sanyo batteries lasted me over 1500 shots on one charge, with less than a second of recycle time in between flashes; that is simply amazing.
I highly recommend these batteries to anyone who has a power intensive device that requires a quick recycle time.
