no other word, awesome, excelent tool.
forget about opening your case, pluging the harddrive to your sata controller, and booting up. it is all on the fly, plug the sata to usb to the drive(sata and power), connect it to the pc, and plug the power to the UPS, and you are ready to extract, add, even format the drive.

I only use the sata to usb portion of this device and it works just as advertised. I've been using this with my Dell Mini 9 as a way to access my desktop sata cdrom drive; you can use this to reformat a netbook or any computer that doesn't have a built in cdrom/dvdrom drive if you have a desktop computer.

When trying to connect to a SATA drive, plugging in the adapter (power) was a nightmare. Had to work with, re-align, re-insert, etc. This happened on two different units (as I bought one for my tech bag, and one for home). Burned up a SATA drive trying to connect. I'm tossing these in the trash.Customer Review: Works great

Works just fine, no problems on my Macbook Pro with various 3.5" SATA drives.
Note that this product does not do IDE. I now wish I had gotten one that does both. Oh well, my fault. This is a greart product if you just need SATA. It's well-thought-out and seems well-made.

have had it for about a year, use it for computer service (Mac & PC), has helped many times SATA & IDE, fast & reliable. Lost the small red SATA cable and Jason from Sabrent sent me a new one FOR FREE via envelope which was in HI after just a couple of days. I'M STOKED!
