I have an extensive music library on my upstairs computer which I now access via the Roku in my living room downstairs. It plays clear crisp music received via wireless internet connection from my computer which is easily 80 feet away with numerous walls between. It was a snap to set up and I am by no means a computer wiz. I can now listen to great sounding music on demand and also have access to over 4,900 internet radio stations from around the world! I LOVE my Roku and will be getting a second to use in another part of my home.Customer Review: A minor miracle, if you need it.

I find this machine miraculous. If you want to 1) play the music on your computer through your stereo, or 2) listen to internet radio, this product is exactly what you need. It's simple to set up (doesn't even come with a CD!) and simple to use. It works best if you have a wireless network, but can also be plugged in. I've had absolutely no problems with mine. There's now beta software that's compatible with iTunes version 7, which should solve the complaint of another reviewer. The soundbridge is great. I had no trouble getting internet radio to stream through my component stereo. For some reason my Windows Media Player playlist wouldn't work, but I was having issues with Media Player anyway. I downloaded Firefly Media Server and I-tunes to use in place of Windows Media Player and now everything works fine. It is great to be able to browse my library and playlists from the living room where my stereo is. I use it daily and even my technologically challenged girlfriend can turn it on and start a playlist.Customer Review: Better than AirPort Express

Roku SoundBridge M1001 is suitable for users who seek quality of PC audio but don't want to put your PC in front of your audio system. It has better sound quality than AirPort Express (in my environment, SoundBridge is connected to ethernet cable to PC and coaxial to DAC). If you are serious music listener, I recommend to change power adopter to more stabilized power source if you can get it.
Also, Sound Bridge is good for controlling your iTune in front of your audio system rather than go back to your PC.

After we lost our classical radio station in Milwaukee, I needed a way to link my stereo system to the many radio stations that broadcast on the web. The Roku SoundBridge M1000 turned out to be a easy, cost effective way to do just that. It was easy to set up and use. The library of presets was easy to browse and the ratings of the stations in the library were accurate and helpful. I've been recommending it to friends and I'm surprised that none of the electronic outlets in my area carry it.
