I have a 20 foot cord from my computer to an LCD project and then another 20 foot cord from the projector to the monitor. I needed the gender changer to attach the return cable to the monitor cable. If I turn on the computer with the monitor attached to the CPU and then switch the projector cable to the CPU and connect the return cable through the gender changer to the monitor, it is all good. However, if I leave it all connected and turn on the computer, then the monitor image has a fisheye lens shape distortion. I wanted to be able to leave everything connected, but having to switch all the cables everytime defeats the purpose. However, I can at least have the image on my monitor and through the projector, which is what I wanted.
