Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Razer DeathAdder 3G Infrared Gaming MouseCustomer Review: Best mouse I've ever used! Summary: 5 Stars
This mouse is perfect in so many ways. First thing, just put your hand on it, the surface feels incredibly soft to the touch it has this ultra soft type of micro-velvety feeling surface, unbelievably pleasant to the touch. Scrolling wheel is awesome too, large enough and silent and with a smooth movement. Size of the mouse is great even for long hands like mine, and shape of the button area feels so comfortable. Tracking is wonderful. Teflon feet move absolutely seemlessly and silently on anything. The mouse is very quiet, and the clicks on the buttons are just right. Icing on the cake, Looks! This mouse really looks incredible! And the very slowly pulsating blue light on its loins, such a cool touch. I'm using it right now here in my main home pc. I'm not even a pc gamer, but I'm so glad I came across the recommendations of pc gamers for this mouse.
Customer Review: Simply the best mouse I have ever used Summary: 5 Stars
Coming from years of using only the best of what logitech had to offer, I decided to take the plunge and satisfy my curiosity with razer products. What can I say, this thing is fantastic. After using the deathadder, I simply feel inadequate when going back and using the Logitech G5 (my previous favorite). The deathadder is nothing like any of the logitech products. It is much lighter and the buttons easier to press. I thought that I wouldn't like it but it has made a noticeable difference when gaming. My clicks come faster, and my hands don't tire as fast, keeping me quick and nimble. The rubberized top surface is really nice and nothing offered by any other competitors come close. The lights, I thought would be cheesy but they don't look bad at all, and can be turned off. Right now, this simply is the best out there. Go out there and get it!
Customer Review: Excellent mouse - perfect shape for my hand Summary: 5 Stars
This is the ultimate mouse for me. I don't care much about the super-uber precision. I can't use it at it highest DPI level (goes too fast for me). But at a normal level, this mouse is ultra precise, just right. The shape fits naturally in the hand, this is THE mouse for me. The driver software does not have a good interface (too naively flashy - like made by a 7 year old), but it does the job OK, and one can manage to navigate around it (you don't need to use it often anyhow, you don't even really have to install it at all... the mouse works perfectly fine without it).
I tried the lechesis but its shape is quite odd, and you feel some kind of uncomfortable pressure when using it. I had to return it, took the Death Adder instead, and boy was I happy I did that!
Perfect mouse! (Ugly driver software interface, but who cares)
Customer Review: Blows everything else away. Summary: 5 Stars
This is the Zeus of gaming mice. Look no further if you are trying to improve your game or just want a comfortable mouse while you're already owning. I've never had a mouse that fit my hand as perfectly as this one does. The dpi adjustability is great but really this mouse should be bought alone because of how sleek and comfortable it is. Physically this mouse beats any out there. It slides the best across any mouse pad soft or hard top. On top of how comfortable and great the optics are the side buttons are easy to use and light on the touch. No mouse would be great without great driver support and this is no exception. The drivers let you adjust anything from dpi to y and x axis sensitivity to allowing you to turn on or off your acceleration. Don't be fooled into buying any other more expensive mice, this is as far as you need to go.
Customer Review: razer deathadder Summary: 4 Stars
very good mouse. had some issues with mouse acceleration at first. i read somewhere that installing, THEN uninstalling the drivers would fix it. worked like a charm. REPEAT: YOU NEED TO INSTALL DRIVERS, TURN OFF MOUSE ACCEL IN THE DRIVERS WINDOW, THEN UNINSTALL THE DRIVER FOR MOUSE ACCEL TO WORK PROPERLY!!!
pros: the shape takes getting used to, but if you can get used to it, it is a very fine mouse. good tracking on my cloth mouse pad (corepad eyepad). the left and right click buttons are very sensitive and also take getting used to, but they are great when you get it down.
cons: the thumb buttons could be placed more strategically. the liftoff distance is quite high, so if you swipe the mouse and return to the same spot or have a small mouse pad you might want to buy extra mouse feet. -1 star
