Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Razer DeathAdder 3G Infrared Gaming Mouse

Customer Review: Good while it lasts...
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought the DeathAdder about a year ago, and it worked marvelously until the left mouse button starting "sticking" as if peanut butter was under it or something like that. Then, after I realized that Razer's support is horrendous and would not be servicing or replacing my mouse at all, I decided to disassemble it to see if I could find what the problem was. And oh man did I find it... the left mouse button clicker stick that hits the tiny button had snapped off about 1/4 of the way up. I'm not sure about everyone else, but when I spend 50 dollars on a "premium mouse," I expect it to last more than a year. I will probably be buying the Logitech G9 now, as I had the MX518 for over 3 years and had zero problems. Perhaps I was just unlucky with my mouse's manufacturing, but then again, a company should stand behind their products, especially if it's only been about 10 months since the initial purchase. Razer won't be getting my money anymore unless they improve their customer service.

Customer Review: The Best Mouse I Have Ever Owned
Summary: 5 Stars

This mouse is, without a doubt, the best mouse I have ever owned.

I have used Razer products for about the last 4 years, and have thoroughly enjoyed both their Copperhead and Diamondback mice. But this blows both of them away. The comfort, accuracy, and ease of use is above and beyond any mouse I have tested in the past, and I am unusually picky.

It should be noted that I have larger than average hands, and the arch of the DeathAdder fits to my palm in a very comfortable way. Also, the side buttons are more easily accessible than with Razer models I have used before.

The only possible complaint I can think of is that the cord could be slightly longer, but for most people this will probably not be a concern.

Customer Review: Probably the best palm grip gaming mouse
Summary: 5 Stars

I just bought the Razer DeathAdder, and I must say, i'm very impressed.

Pros:
Very ergonomic feel
Perfect for palm grip (when you put your entire hand on the mouse)

1800 DPI Laser: Yes, I know other mice have 4000 dpi lasers, but most users will feel perfectly comfortable with the mouse's sensitivity

Thumb Buttons: Easy to press, very useful for multiplayer shooter games, I love having my voice chat on my thumb button, much easier than using the keyboard.

Also, the mouse works on just about any smooth surface, actually it seems better to not use a mousepad with it, as the lint accumulates on the Teflon coated feet of the mouse.

Cons:
Sorry lefties, this mouse is not ambidextrous. Try the Razer Lachesis.

Smudges a lot, because of the black plastic. If you want to keep it spotless, wash your hands before use.

Conclusion: The Razer DeathAdder is a very fine piece of gaming hardware. If you are thinking of getting a Lachesis instead, I would recommend this mouse more because it had a more comfortable shape, and honestly, you won't need a 4000 dpi laser. This is probably the best mouse for the palm grip.

Customer Review: Very pleased
Summary: 5 Stars

Haven't been gaming since I've ordered the mouse so I'm probably not the best reviewer but so far it has been great in regards to my other computer usage. Comfortable grip, light, and smooth cursor movement.

Customer Review: Great Mouse
Summary: 5 Stars

It really performs well, although the on the fly sensitivity doesn't use a unique button. It matches well with my Lycosa Keyboard. I just plug the mouse into the usb port on the back of my keyboard.
