Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of RiteAlarm 5-1-1 Triple Weekly Alarm Clock (Silver) with Weekday, Saturday and Sunday Alarms, Extended Daylight Saving Time, Automatic Snooze, Simple and Meaningful Buttons, Adjustable Volume, Gentle Sound Pattern, Pushing Backlight and Battery OperatedCustomer Review: Just What I Needed But Could Not Be Found Elsewhere Summary: 4 Stars
My schedule is kind of fixed for the weekdays, but various in the weekend. Currently many other alarm clocks such as Timex only has one weekend button but does not fit my need.
The added DST features is definitely a plus, and its automatic snooze is good to prevent oversleeping.
I also like the triple alarm displays, which reduces confusions and mistakes.
I like to have a projection feature but this alarm clock does not, and that's the reason I do not give a 5 star to its rating.
Customer Review: Can't turn it off! Summary: 2 Stars
I liked the idea of a small alarm clock. Setting different alarms for weekdays and weekend appealed to me, too. The sound of the alarm - to me at least - is rather annoying and there's no option for something nicer. But what made me replace the clock was that it kept coming back on! The snooze and the turn-off are only a few second apart: if you don't hit the button twice fast enough, you're in snooze mode! Short of removing the batteries, there is no way to turn the alarm off until it comes on again. Very annoying!
Customer Review: Small, modern and useful. Summary: 4 Stars
I've own this clock a few years now and can recommend it. It is light weight, small and easy to program. It changes times on it's own when we go from standard time to daylight saving time. It also adjusts to calendar days because it uses the year in it's programing.
I would like something brighter but this is the best battery operated digital clock I've owned so far. It is not visibly for long in the dark to spit what the product details say. I've changed the battery like once in the 2 year or so I've had it.
Customer Review: Cheap, especially the snooze button Summary: 2 Stars
3 alarms are what initially attracted me. I was surprised by the generally flimsy construction. The snooze switch is a disaster. As noted elsewhere, you have to hit it twice quickly to turn the alarm off. The switch on my clock didn't make reliable contact. Sometimes I'd push it so hard I thought it was going to break, but it was still obviously not making electrical contact, since the alarm kept coming back on. No option to keep the display on all the time is a big minus, too.
Customer Review: It does a nice job Summary: 4 Stars
Ok, is not perfect:
1) It easily falls on it's back.
2) Need to hit the top button twice to turn it off (if you hit once you get the snooze mode)
Besides that, is a nice item:
1) Nice alarm sound pattern (it starts smoothly and it gives you the time to react without waking up the whole family)
2) You can set the 3 alarms: one for working days (Mon-Fri), one for Sat and one for Sun
