Customer Review: Worked better than a much larger antenna

We live in a rural area and have DirectTV but like to have some local channels in the event of bad weather and for local news. When they switched to digital we ended up losing the station we liked best and picked up some others that weren't of much interest to us.
This antenna restored the missing station and works great. It took longer to unpack than to install it. It's a keeper!

I really liked that this was so small and didn't look like an antenna and that it got good reviews. However, it actually performed worse than my 10 year old spliced rabbit ears. The towers are about 9 miles away. It goes to show that you really can't predict an indoor antenna. Will be buying an outdoor one. Ugghh, that means more work setting it up, but should work first try.Customer Review: A lot of hype

I ordered this hoping that it was a better antenna than the standard antenna that i already had with my laptop tuner. Well, although it seeems to find more channels, I have yet to be able to view any of them. I have not tried it with AC power yet, but on battery power (main reason I got it), it's signal strength is nearly non-existent.Customer Review: Disappointed

I bought the PowerQ for my desktop computer on the basis of some of the reviews. I have been sorely disappointed. The antenna has been able to pick up only two of 33 available channels in my area. Another thing is that the supplied cables are so short that you are unable to move the antenna to a better vantage point for reception.Customer Review: PowerHD 100 Portable Digital Antenna

The unit was packaged fine, & arrived ok. But, I'm not impressed with its very short ac power and RF cables, nor with it's reception capabilites. It does not do much better than my old "powered" rabbit ears unit. I believe it is over priced for what it does. I will keep it just for the convienence of it being small & portable.
