Great quality, excellent design, and good software. I paid $5 at Radio Shack for a skype headset more than a year ago. It worked fine for regular use. Now I'm living in Europe and trying to cut down on my cell bills. This is a minuature version of a full blown ploycom unit. The quality is amazing for "Skype-Out" conference calls and regular calls to land lines (assuming you have solid band width). For skype-to-skype or skype-out to a mobile phone you are working with the lowest common denominator - which can vary from great to useless. There is an adjustment to boost the microphone sensativity, which is a nice feature for folks with soft voices. Finally the cord can be tucked below the cover if you travel a lot.Customer Review: A high quality speakerphone for any computer conversations

As a distributed meeting facilitator, I frequently need to work with mixtures of people both live and on the phone. Particularly across continents, VOIP connections are very cost effective as long as the fidelity and volume are suitable. Unfortunately, provided meeting facilities rarely are adequate to this task. I brought the C100S speakerphone to a recent meeting in Europe and connected it to a variety of computers, using a variety of VOIP applications including Skype and Gizmo. It did a great job of both projecting the callers' voices and capturing sound in the room, generally providing a sound quality sufficient so as not to distract from our discussion itself.Customer Review: Junk

I've owned several speakerphones, and this one is by far at the bottom of the list. The audio quality absolutely stinks for the person on the other end of the call. Also, the volume in unimpressive. I decided to tear apart the device and take a look at what's inside. It is clear that Polycom is using a full duplex speakerphone software application on the PC instead of using a processor chip inside the product to do the echo cancellation. Basically, the product is only a speaker and microphone with no audio processing capability. You'll be better off using the mic and speaker that comes included with the computer since there is no benefit with the polycom product.Customer Review: Mac Leopard Compatible

I was hesitant to buy this product because I saw no direct reference to working with Leopard. When I received it, I couldn't get it to work, either. But today I upgraded to Skype version 2.7 (Beta) and it's working great. On the dialing dialog window of version 2.7 is a small headphone icon. I clicked on this icon and opened up another dialog box with choices for microphone and speaker and was able to quickly designate the polycom unit.
The sound quality is terrific. I've just ordered another pair for some of my employees who use Skype as well. I recommend this product for Mac users who use Leopard.

Purchased this for the stated purpose. Product arrived but simply does not work. Install CD wouldn't run without an error. Finally got the software installed and when I run the diagnostics the button test doesn't work, and when I attempt to use the buttons on the device they don't register with Skype. Looked on the Polycom support site and both problems I experienced were listed however when I clicked the link I received a message "this document is no longer available". I bought this and paid what I feel was a premium because Polycom had a good reputation but found out I wasted my money.
