Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Polk Audio RC60i In-Ceiling / In-Wall Speakers (Pair, White)Customer Review: Wonderful Speakers Summary: 5 Stars
We remodeled our kitchen and have these speakers in the wall opposite the work areas. They are the most wonderful part of the new kitchen. Listening to music with great sound makes kitchen work so much more fun. The electrician said they were easy to install, and the sound is great. They can be played loud enough to be heard in other rooms, and there is good bass and no distortion with all types of music. They sound good played quietly too. For the price you just can't go wrong. They sound as if they cost a lot more.
Customer Review: Exactly what I expected Summary: 5 Stars
Installation was a breeze. I have a roto-zip which made cutting the holes a bit easier than the traditional sheetrock saw. The outer rim had enough overlap to cover for my less than perfect ability to cut within the circle I traced using the provided template. I had an old Harman Kardon Receiver I used to power these and they sound great! They have enough range for me to be happy as they are but some may want to pair these with a sub if they like feeling the low end range more intensely.
Customer Review: Good Price, Great sound... Summary: 5 Stars
I mounted these in my ceiling just behind my sofa. I intended these to just be rear channel speakers, but I they sounded good enough that I am sending my stereo through them now.
Installation was simple and I had them out of the box and playing music in under 20 minutes. The biggest hassel was cutting the hole and trying to avoid the insulation!
I am considering buying another pair to put on the back patio and would recommend these to even my best friends.
Customer Review: Much better than anticipated Summary: 5 Stars
I'm using these in my master-bathroom and powering them with a denon receiver (zone2). I wasn't expecting too much when I purchased these (low price, small, etc.) but was pleasently surprised that they sound as good as they do. I have these installed in the ceiling and bass response out of these little guys isn't bad. I would not be happy using these for full range application in a home theater, but could see using these if paired with a decent size sub to cover the lows.
Customer Review: Easy install - here's a trick Summary: 5 Stars
Easy install! I don't have them hooked up yet (receiver coming today) but just one nugget to offer up to the masses: the grill is almost impossible to pry off with a paperclip, but here is what you can do. Make a tiny hook on the end of a straightened paperclip (using needle nose pliers, grab the very tip of the paperclip and curl it into a hook). Then insert the hook-end of the paperclip into one of the holes on the edge of the grill and simply pull the grill off.
