I never had a center channel. Always had 2 front speakers that I was happy with. Well, what you don't know can anger you. The CSi A4 as a center channel is a great tradeoff of function vs cost. I can actually hear the dialogue now and the sounds that are supposed to be coming out of the screen, really do.
I thought the unit was going to be bigger (A6's are over the top huge) but it ended up being a great physical size for our entertainment center. Sounds are reproduce nicely. Just a great package of performance for around $200ish.
I mounted in-ceiling RC80i's as the back surround and my L.R. now competes with any movie theater sound. Truely a deterant to getting off the couch. Even my wife wants to stay home now so I know this is a great product(s).

I purchased the Polk Audio CSi A4 after getting the CS10 center channel speaker for Christmas. I wanted to go as "high-end" as possible for the money. I'm definitely glad I spent the few dollars more. I love the real wood finish. It has a very polished, refined, yet agressive look. The build quality is great, and the sound is awesome! I'm in the early stages of upgrading my speakers; I went for the display and receiver upgrades first. I plan to go with all Polk speakers in this class!

I can't say enough about this center channel! The sound that comes from this speaker is rich and vibrant! I'm no audiophile but I can tell the difference between good and bad sound quality and this speaker definitely recieves 5 stars. The price tag can be a little steep for those of you on a budget, but do what I did; buy each component of your system over time and in the end, it'll be worth all that wait. Got this for under $200 and it is worth every penny. Rich full sound and timber matched to any speaker in the RTi line. I run this with a pair of RTi A5's as part of a 7.1 setup and WOW! Well here it is March 2009 and polk audio got me. Now along with this terrific center, running polk monitors 70,s polk fxi3 side & rear surround and polk psw 10 sub woofer. Powered by a Sony E.S 5300 that provides huge clear power. Now a Polk fan for life. Polk Audio, thank you
