These speakers are exactly what we needed to replace some older main front speakers for our "home theater". We already had a newer powered sub-woofer for the deep lows. In addition to the audio paramters, we wanted these speakers to be a white color to blend in with the wall paint. We have been very pleased with their performance and appearance. To obtain the positioning we desired, I had to re-form the wall brackets so that the speaker would be aimed down towards our seating position (previous location was above ear level). This was relatively easy to do with a vice and a hammer. Aiming left and right is a built in feature of the mount.Customer Review: Very Pleased!

I bought these speakers based on previous experience with Polk and their price. I now have a pair on my front porch and a pair in my study. They are small, discreet and blend into a white background. They seem to be heavy and well constructed. As for the sound, that's subjective, but I am happy. I have listened to some well recorded folk music and I felt the sound was very lifelike. I think the bass is as good as can be expected given the size of the woofer. Placing them in a corner helps with the bass. I think these speakers are as good as you will find unless you want to spend twice as much for the next level of Polk Atriums.Customer Review: very good quality for reasonable price

I've bought speakers for inside (Klipch) and these for outside, under shade and protected from rain, but close to the sea. The quality deliver is great and the construction seems to be very well made. All the frequency is well reproduced and there was some instrument with some CD that now I discover with the quality of this speakers. I'm more than happy with these.
Concerning leaving them out in the rain, I would not do that. Everybody with a little sense with electronic or electricity will avoid installing a device in the rain. This precaution done, you will have a perfect sound, hassle free, in your outdoor area.

I've been looking for a good price on brand name speakers for a couple of years. When I found these I was impressed by the reviews and the cost plus FREE shipping!!!!
Even though I suspected they would be heavy I was caught by surprise when I received them-they are really heavy!
As far as the sound goes I was surprised by the range (I played with them alot) and the crispness of the sound!!! I would definitely recommend these speakers to anyone.
The only thing left to test is how they stand up to our 95 degree high humidity summers and -20 degree (-50 wind chill) winters in Minnesota.

I am pleasantly surprised of the overall performance of these speakers. I have them placed outside over my deck. I was worried they would sound hollow and the sound quality would be a sacrifice to durability. They sound great. Not much on the low end (base) but exactly what you want for outdoor speakers. Base for the most part is unnecessary outdoors. The highs are crisp and clear with no distortion at high volumes. They are directional within the bracket to focus the sound where desired. The sound encompasses a large area with excellent overall quality. I would recommend these speakers for outdoor use.
