I was looking for a film scanner as I have a lot of negatives that I need to move to a digital format. This scanner works just as described. My only wish is that I had more than one film holder. I've ordered two extra and I know this will speed things up. I have been using the dust removal and this does add to the scanning time, but overall I feel this is worth the benefit.Customer Review: Great way to retrieve old photos

This scanner works beautifully right out of the box. Very easy to digitize old slides, and have also scanned some old b/w negatives. Very quick and simple operation. Location of digital user manual is not immediately apparent, but is not really needed. I'm pleased, and have pleased others by surprising them with an email containing photos they'd forgotten, or never seen.Customer Review: Excellent value

This scanner works like scanners costing 10 -20x the price. I am impressed. However the software is not easy to figure out. Has so many options you mistakenly click the wrong button and jam the computer. It's best to use the simple scan option and clean and color correct the image with Photoshop or some other program. Out of the box the 7300 does just what it should do. I am using it with my Corel photo software because that's what I'm used to. I am scanning slides from 1960 - 1965 at present and they look wonderful. I will try the supplied software later but for now the quick setup is zipping along and doing everything I need for clean, clear pictures.Customer Review: Plustek Optic Film 7300

This is marginal at best. If you are looking for high quality imaging, THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT. It was so bad I returned it for a refund.
