Customer Review: near-perfect SOHO phone

This phone lives up to the promises, and I'd say the reviews are generally pretty accurate. Going cordless on the headset is a big win, esp if your phone is on a desk with lots of PC cables, etc. The battery life is great for both the phone and the headset. When I work from home, I can spend 6+ hours on the phone, and it's not an issue. As an added bonus, this phone works as a speakerphone, even when it's sitting in the charging cradle. Having a headset chraged built nicely into the base is also a big plus.
Tiny nits (and I do mean tiny)
1) Yes, you'll need to make sure the headset seats properly to charge, but it's not a big problem.
2) The handset buttons are slightly small, but it is a fair trade-off for a small sized handset. The LCD display could have been smaller for larger buttons, and that would have been OK, but it works fine as is.
I haven't tried pairing the headset with other devices, but Bluetooth is a standard, so it should work pretty easily. All up, we're very pleased with the phone. Pricey, but worth it.
Customer Review: Best cordless headset/phone I've ever used

I work out of my home office when I'm not on the road and spend a considerable amount of time on the phone. I had been using the Plantronics CT12 cordless headset for a number of years and it worked great. However, the CT12 requires the headset to be connected to the handset with a cord that I often caught on things such as a doorknob when I was walking around. This unit is completely cordless - both from the handset to the base and the headset to the handset. I can move around as much as I like and the range to the base unit is outstanding. I love it. Excellent audio quality in both directions.
It's extremely easy to set up and the bluetooth headset is easily paired with my cell phone. This phone has more functionality than I need, such as voice over IP. It certainly satisfies all my requirements for a good cordless headset/phone. The only negative comment I have is that there is not a two line version of this phone available.
If you're looking for a good home bluetooth phone, I think this phone should be a good option for most people.
Customer Review: A Little Disappointing for the Money

I work in sales from my home so I'm on the phone quite a bit. I was using a GE cordless phone with a corded headset for a number of years and that worked well but, was limited. I decided that it was time to take the plunge and get some new technology.
With a price tag over $200 I was expecting a lot more from Plantronics. The sound quality is good but, there is constant crackling and pops in the background, just loud enough to be distracting. I thought this might be my WiFi system but when that is turned off the subtle background noise is still there.
Plantronics could have done a much better job on the display. I've seen better ones on toys. With the ability to store 200 names and phone numbers you should have an easy way of accessing them. In my phone with only about 75 names there's plenty of button presses to find the correct one.
The headset is very light weight comfortable and easy to grab and put on your ear. Unfortunately this doesn't make up for the shortcomings so, I gave it only three stars.
Customer Review: Great concept but performance falls way short

The mobility concept is great on this phone. It has a base unit that acts as a charger for the phone and the headset. For quick calls, just pick up the cell phone style phone and talk; it has a small speaker and microphone on the face. You can also switch on the speakerphone which may be OK for certain uses but otherwise sounds like your in a cave. In both of these functions it performs pretty much as expected. Where the main problem lies is with the Bluetooth headset.
I have had 3 replacements and the last time they replaced the entire set from a different production batch, all in hopes of solving my only problem: The headset generates an intermittent pop-corn popping sound that is so irritating to you and the person you're calling that it drives everybody crazy. Plantronics needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. In the mean-time I'm living with it but using a corded 2.5mm headset instead of the Bluetooth. Unfortuately, I feel this is still the "best" unit in this niche. If you can find something better, take it.
Customer Review: Finally, a handsfree headset that works

For years I have tried various headsets to use with my home telephone service that leaves my hands free. The wired headsets are inexpensive but those I tried always crackled when I moved due to loose connections at the headset jack. The previous bluetooth units I tried (including Plantronics) either exhibited poor audio or they were a hassle to use. I had to go through multiple steps to engage the bluetooth connection each time I made or received a call. The Calistro Pro solves all of these problems. Installation was a snap. The bluetooth headset automatically engages by just touching the button on the headset for one second and there is an icon on the handset screen indicating connection. In addition, the handset can function as a wireless speakerphone. Calls are clear and crisp. I have a feeling that unlike all of the previous units I have purchased, this one will be around for a long time. Now, if I could only sell all of the poorly functioning predecessors for half of what I paid, I could probably retire early.
