Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Plantronics CS50 Wireless Office HeadsetCustomer Review: You will love this wireless headset Summary: 5 Stars
I am on the phone constantly and was so sick of either holding the phone between my shoulder and my ear, or having to use my speakerphone (which drove my co-workers crazy). I finally broke down an paid my own money to buy this wireless headset because one of my co-workers has one and loves it. I must say that it was a bit pricey, but worth every penny. It takes just a little time to get used to exactly how the "major" and "minor" adjustments work for the hearing and microphone volumes, but by about the 3rd use I had it down. I use the molded earloop (not the headband) because I have really cool spiked hair and I don't want to mess it up. By the way, I am a 55 year old female banker -- so even "mature" professionals can:(1)have cool hair, and (2) learn how to use great technology. Anyway, it took me a couple of days to figure out which size earloop was the most comfortable, but now I just can't imagine working without this great product.
Customer Review: With some effort, works great at home too! Summary: 4 Stars
I wanted to go handsfree at home, so I bought this product. The first thing I realized is that the cs50 wouldn't work with my cordless phone. That's because it takes as input the wire that connects the telephone handset to the telephone base unit. So I tried using my corded phone. But that wouldn't work either because the wire could not be removed, this is a problem with most phones where the keypad is not in the base but is in the handset. So I bought another $20 corded phone (29318GE1) and the cs50 worked with it, but the other party could not hear me well. I tried several other inexpensive phones but the clarity was not there. In desperation I tried an expensive phone (an $80 29486GE2), the kind one has in the office, and the cs50 worked much much better with it. I still could hear an irritating echo, but that went away after some tuning. My efforts paid off and I am now very happy with the clarity and the convenience.
Customer Review: Some of the best money I ever spent! Summary: 5 Stars
If you are on the phone a lot, you need this headset system. Quality is fantastic, has great range (I can go any place in my house (including my back and front yards) while on a call and see no drop in quality. I have been on calls for up to 7 hours and the battery never died. Adapters available for various types of use, like ear piece, headset or then one I like best, hangs over both ears and wraps around back of neck, which prevents headset hair ;-).
The CS50 has a button to mute the mic, turn volume up/down and if you order the optional lifter kit for your phone, you can pick up or hang up the phone from any place in your home.
The company website is very high priced and you can find it for 1/2 their price through other websites, so shop around. Other than that it will be one of the best investments you will make if you are on the phone a lot.
Customer Review: Got wrong model! Summary: 3 Stars
I just got this a week ago and started training for a new job today. Turns out that I cannot use a cordless headset because of possible interference with my computer, plus I need a secure line for the type of call center work I will be doing. Hopefully, I can use this during training until I can get a corded headset. Haven't decided whether I should go with the T10 or the S11 or S12 model.
But overall this works well as long as you have settings adjusted correctly. My crappy Durabrand phone I bought from Walmart could be part of the reason I'm experiencing some buzzing during phonecalls. The feedback was awful even with the mute button on today during a conference call for training. But I think it works fine when speaking one on one with someone. Have gotten a few complaints about buzzing. But like I said, it could be the phone I have it hooked up to.
Customer Review: Excellent wireless headset Summary: 5 Stars
This product is purchased by my employer for some employees as the latest
generation wireless headset. My wired headset was on the blink and I wanted
this one, but my manager could not authorize it unless he was prepared to
buy one for all 15 people on our team. So I bought it myself. It was $300
at Best Buy, but only $200 here ($190 if my company buys it). It is
everything I expected. Clear to follow setup directions had me up and
running in minutes (except for the charging period, of course). I've only
tested it to 100 ft., though it claims 300+ ft. I really like that there
are 3 different ear holder sizes to use, for maximum comfort and best fit.
Get one- you won't be disappointed. It's a bit pricey for home use, for
my purposes, but it's a dream at work.
