Customer Review: Not the best for negetive cleaning

Tried this for cleaning 35mm film and also to clean the scanner (Cannon 8800F) bed. 1) This is definitely not lint "free". Cleaned the scanner bed with a wipe just out of the packet while looking through a 8x magnifying loupe. I can see lint left behind. When used with PEC-12, noticed a thin film of whitish goo, probably from the wipe. 2) Tried using with PEC-12 for wiping negetives and again the results were not good. Left lint behind and also left minor scratches. So this is generally ok for wiping optics where a very small pices of lint is ok, but not for negatives.Customer Review: PEC-PAD Lint Free Wipes are "on the spot"

When I first saw these advertised, I was somewhat wary. Now that I have them in hand, I can say that these wipes are very effective and useful on optics and other critical surfaces. They should always be used with a proper cleaning fluid. "Spit" is not a proper cleaning fluid. I have no trepidation about using PEC-PADS on my expensive camera lenses. I have not yet tried them on photographic emulsions, however. These pads are not "cheap", neither in quality nor price. I'll pay the price when I am assured that the product works and does no damage.Customer Review: dirty lens beware

I take my camera everywhere- and am always bumping the lens with my finger when adjusting the filter or just putting the lens cap back on. There are many ways to ruin the perfect shot and by keeping that lens clean with the scratch proof cloth, I eliminated one more way to screw up the shot. The cloths are cheap enough that you can used them on a window when you are shooting through it in a public place. I just put a few in zip lock bag and keep it in my camera bag.Customer Review: Hard to keep moist

The wipers work great. No complaint. However, you only need one or two at a time and the other 98 or 99 will dry out and become useless unless you take some care. I used these at work and unfortunately did not have a zip lock bag handy. By the time I got home that evening the others were just tissues. Before you open the package, have your zip lock bag ready and maybe even put a damp paper towel in the bag with this package to keep the sheet moist.Customer Review: Jury Is Out On This Product - Very Poor Quality Control

For a product that is supposed to be 99.999% contaminant free - they package these swatches in a cheap plastic bag with unidentified floaters within.
This product is ideal for cleaning the bore of a rifle - but absolutely scratched a B&W MRC UV filter with a Zeiss cleaning solution under a 60 lumen LED where the real test can be monitored.
Would not recommend this product in any manner for fine optical cleaning.
