Customer Review: Great Device - Just Larger Than Expected
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this video selector because I wanted to be able to change between multiple video sources from my remote control in my bedroom. Since it is not my primary entertainment system I do not have a devoted A/V amplifier selector for space reasons.

I tried the simplest route by using RCA y-cables so that both devices were hooked into the TV input. As long as only one unit is powered on at a time this method worked, but the sound quality was horrible.

After searching online for a while I decided on this unit since it was such a good value for what it could do. It works flawlessly, switching between sources without any input from switches or a remote control. (The unit has a built-in hierarchy to determine which input to use if more than one unit is powered on at a time.)

The only CON, and it is a relatively small one, is that the unit is larger than I expected it to be (the dimensions are listed on the site, so it is my own fault for not checking). But I was still able to tuck it in behind the TV so it is mostly out of sight.

All in all a very good product that I would recommend to others.

Customer Review: Works Great
Summary: 5 Stars

This product works great right out of the box. Just plug it in and hookup your cables in the order preference(priority) of you choice and then your set. The auto switcher fits my needs well as I have 4 component video cables that need to use. There are 3 input component video/s-video connections on the back and one on the front. There is also one component video/s-video on the back. There is an F - connection for coaxial cable both in and out. The only downside is you have to choose the output you want (coaxial or component/s-video. It will not do both for video, but the audio jack still output via component to a stereo or such. It would be nice if when no devices were turned on the two lights on the front would turn off, but its not a big deal. The switch also has auto, manuel and scan modes for selection. The suction cups for vertical positioning are nice as well, they attach for horizontal positioning too.

Customer Review: Great automatic selector!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I am using this automatic selector with a DVD player, TiVo and Nintendo Wii. This works perfectly and flawlessly switches just by turning on my devices!

Pros:
* I have automatic input switching simply by turning devices on or off
* I can manually override the automatic input switching with the buttons on the front panel.
* I can prioritize which devices have input priority for automatic switching by putting the devices with higher priority on higher numbered inputs.

Make sure to read the instructions while setting this up because input 1 is actually lowest priority. It goes highest 2,3,4,1 lowest. Which was confusing for me until I read the directions.

I am currently not using the stand with suction cups on it, because I have mine laying horizontal, so I don't know how the stand works. But the selector still works perfectly horizontal.

Customer Review: Great Gadget
Summary: 5 Stars

I agree with the previous reviewer in terms of the product description and the rating. The unit looks nice, everything is well laid out, and it is good for dummies because it automatically switches itself to the input connection that is receiving a signal. If more than one signal is being input, then it handles them in a priority so that you don't get any conflicts (the order of precedence is connection 2,3,4 and then 1). That also saves you from having to get up and manually switch the box each time you want to change inputs. There are S-Video and composite video/rca stereo jacks, 4 sets of input and one output. The only drawback is there are no component video inputs.

This is a very handy device. I saw some manual switching boxes for a few dollars less but this is well worth the extra expenditure.

Customer Review: It works automatically and flawlessly.
Summary: 5 Stars

It automatically switches your TV to view which ever player's power is turned on, for instance your VCR or your DVD player, up to 4 players. One of the input connections for the players is in the front, which is handy for quick connections to devices like camcorders or digital cameras. If none or your players are powered on, then it simply plays the cable (or antenna) feed. It has a built in RF modulator so that it works on older TVs. For newer sets it has both S-video and composite RCA (with stereo audio) inputs and output. The inputs are prioritized, the scanning speed is adjustable, and there is a manual override selector, none of which I had to use because the automatic switching works flawlessly. It's perfect for those less capable members of your family who get confused when there are multiple players connected to the TV.
