this little guy is better than i thought i would be. great sound for the CD player, i mean really, its an alarm clock after all! and i love the option of waking up to a song i like versus talk radio or some annoying commercial. granted, you cant pick the song that it starts on, but it is your choice. and it has two alarms!Customer Review: Does the trick

It's basically as advertised. Works fine. Only complaints are that the numbers are a little too bright (lights up the whole room at night, kind of like a grown up night-light), and the quality of the CD player sound isn't great (but, what do you really expect). First, this Clock radio is compact and looks great, but the problem I had is that it didn't keep the correct time. Within an hour, it would be two minutes behind. Within eight hours, it would be 15 minutes slow. The front button features worked out well for me. Other than not keeping time, I would have kept this item.Customer Review: Great value

This is my second Philips CD Clock Radio. It's great value for the money and works really well with great sound. I stayed in a hotel back in November 2006 where they had one of these radios and I was very impressed and was happily surprised when I learned how inexpensive they were. I purchased this alarm clock for my 11 year old son. He set it up by himself and he loves it. It plays cd's. The only complaint he has is that he can't select a certain song for it to start on. I have not read the manual yet so that may be possible. He gets up on time every morning. We love it.
