Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Philips Spooled Speaker Wire - 100ft - 16 gaugeCustomer Review: Almost as good as the lamp cord I used for my stereo in the 1970s Summary: 5 Stars
Yes, we had stereos in the 1970s. That was before overpriced monster cable was invented.
This is good heavy gauge wire. Not oxygen-free but cheap. Hey, this is going in our family room; we're not wiring the space shuttle here.
Make sure you order enough. We needed 2 rolls to setup our 7.1 system.
Customer Review: Good Deal Summary: 4 Stars
This is a good deal for speaker wire. Another review has stated incorrectly about the color coding. The wire IS infact coded. you can't tell from the picture but there is a, slightly, toughf to make out white line along one of the lines. It is also 16 gauge(not stated in discription)
Customer Review: Great inexpensive speaker wire Summary: 4 Stars
Not much to say here. This stuff is a decent gauge, decent price, and as usual, Amazon's shipping is excellent.
I used two rolls of this to hook up 7 speakers for surround sound.
As others have noted, it is difficult to see the marking on the one wire, but not a big deal.
Customer Review: Buy at your Local Lowes store Summary: 2 Stars
After checking the price and shipping cost of this product on amazon, I decided to pay a visit to my local Lowes store. Here is what I found out:
Amazon: $16.77+$11 for standard shipping (just one above the super slow shipping)
Lowes: $20 + 1.50 tax.
Customer Review: Great Product Summary: 5 Stars
An excellent and affordable alternative to the overly priced Monster cable. My new Klipsch system recommended using Monster cable that was over 100$ for 50 feet. I decided to go ahead and buy the Philip's wire and it works great; not a problem in the world. Definitely recommend.
