Customer Review: no frills, but gets the job done.

I got this mount with the Samsung FP-T5084 plasma television, which came as a package deal from Amazon. Taking it out of the package, it doesn't really appear sturdy enough to hold a 120 pound TV, but once I got it up on the wall, it works just fine. One thing to note (as other reviewers have noted) is that it ships in black and not as shown here- not a problem for me as it matched my television, but I never saw a color selection option when ordering.
Everything needed to complete the installation is included, and it's just a simple matter of matching your TV with the appropriate mounting hardware. The installation took two people and it took us approximately an hour to get everything up and functional, but only because we got it set up the first time and then chose to move it down a little lower on the wall. The only tools needed are a phillips-head screwdriver and a good drill to get the lags (provided) into your studs.
I'd recommend if you're looking for a good, inexpensive wall mount that includes the tilt function.

The product is extremely sturdy -- instilling confidence that your multiple thousand dollar plasma won't end up in shards on the floor of your family room. It provides ample holes for additional screws (which, as an anal retentive, I loved). In addition to the woordscrews they provide for the studs, I also used drywall toggle bolts and washers (with the holes provided). The metal screws provided did not match the Panasonic 50" plasma 700U, but a quick trip to the hardware store remedied that problem (the width was great, but they just weren't long enough. Just take the screw that fits your TV model to the hardware store and estimate the length you need). If you are not too handy -- which, basically, is me -- plan on spending the better part of an evening or afternoon (mostly because you're nervous and like to check and recheck measurements). I recommend that you have the place to yourself and one other person (who you will need to hoist the beast on the wall) and can concentrate on hanging it properly.

Originally, I thought that this item would cost closer to $200. I was a bit skeptical when buying, but after reading the reviews I decided to purchase this bracket.
The item was shipped quickly, as arrived as described. I inspected the bracket and was surprised at the quality of the and the amount of extra hardware that was included that would get you through just about any installation. The directions were clear and easy to understand. The most important part is measuring and remeasuring.
I mounted a 50" Panasonic plasma, which weighed approximately 80 lbs. I was nervous as the bracket on the wall did not look very substantial (and the TV was expensive), so I applied most of my weight to it and it supported me with no problem. We used 3 people to hang the TV, but I suppose it could be done with 2 for a lighter set. It took multiple attempts to get the viewing angle just right, so be prepared to mount, remove, adjust and remount.

This mount is made of a solid, thick metal. I feel safe with it holding my 57", 140-pound HDTV to the wall. It comes with a wide range of bolts and "extension" mounting washers, useful if you have a TV with a convex or bowed back like my Samsung. The wall mounting screws are indeed "beefy" (as another reviewer described them) and are great for solidifying the mount. The kit also includes a very long allen wrench, making it easy to loosen and tighten bolts used to control the mount's tilt features.
As pointed out in other reviews: the mount is not "one touch." If your HDTV has some weight to it, you're going to want to have someone there to help you adjust the tilt so it's not constantly dropping on you. The mount makes up for this problem by offering two different tilt mechanisms: a set of pre-drilled holes and a set of tension levers. I prefer the holes because they're easier to line up.
Overall, a great tilt for the money.

I received this tilt wall mount within 4 days of ordering and it arrived in time for me to have my new 42" Samsung up on the wall by Saturday night. I read through the instructions before I got the tools out and was chagrinned to find that I thought I was going to need a new tool to tighten the specially designed hex screws that came in the hardware pack with this kit. Then I figured out that the very long rod shaped like an allen wrench that came with the mount was, in fact, the tool I needed to tighten down these special hex screws that have a small metal post in their centers. Confused? So was I until I realized that I had the tool all along. Funny thing though was that this tool and how to use it is mentioned nowhere in the instructions for this Peerless product.
Having said all this, I would buy the mount again. It is sturdy, works as it is described in the online ad and is doing an admirable job of keeping the TV up on the wall.
