I ordered this mount after having purchased a similar product from Cheetah mounts, which was very dissapointing. The Cheetah mount had a good deal of sag, which I was told "was inevitable in an articulated mount". I returned it and ordered this Peerless product, and wouldn't you know it, it doesn't sag to any noticeable extent. It's extremely solid and a lot easier to move around and reorient. Very pleased with both the design and the manufacturing quality. That being said, I paid a bit extra for the model which hides the cords, and in retrospect, I wouldn't do that again since the cords are only hidden as far as the "elbow" and need to be zip-tied to the rest of the arm (for a clean look) anyway. That aside, this is an excellent product and well worth the money.Customer Review: Easy to install, but may need expensive adapter

I bought this wall mount for my 32" Sharp Aquos LCD tv. I figured the 100 dollar price was good for a mount that would allow the tv to swing out, tilt, and rotate. Unfortunately, once I got it I realized that neither the mount nor the adapter bracket included would fit my tv. That meant I needed to buy a separate adapter plate, which was another $100.00. Being unwilling to spend the money, I came up with my own solution (drilled holes in two flat metal bars from local home improvement store, total cost of $8.00) and made it work. The rest of the installation was quite easy (with two people), and the mount is solid and works as advertised. I recommend visiting the website for Peerless to see if the mount will work with your tv, or if you need an adapter plate.Customer Review: great flat TV mount

I was initially looking at a 32" tv, and was set on this mount. Then my wife and i decided to go for a 40"... I guess we could no longer get this mount, right? Wrong! I went to the peerless company website (great site and product support) The product spec for this model lists 40" as the max size, with a top weight of 80lbs (our tv is 60lbs).
The mount looks small compared to the TV, but it is very well made. it comes with great instructions, and was not to hard to mount.
TV looks great on the wall, and we love the flexability of positions. It is also a fraction of the cost of many other mounts. You wont be disapointed.
As always, Amazon service was great- I can't believe the things I am now willing to buy online with their great customer service.

This thing ain't cheap, it's hard heavy metal. Make sure you install it properly though, most people have came home to their brand new tv laying on the floor. Instead of "guesstimating" with a stud finder, just use the stud finder to locate the area of the beam, then use a carpenters blade and cut open a 3inch wide by 7 inch rectangular hole; this way you clearly expose the beam, and mount directly on it to ensure you have a rock solid setup. At the same time you can use the hole to run your cables down to the floor and make an exit hole somewhere unsightly for all your power/video/entertainment connections. With the TV mounted, you can't see the hole in the wall even looking at it from the side. Took me appx. 40 min to do. I purchased this unit at the recommendation of a friend, who had hung a 40-inch Samsung LCD. I bought it to hang a 40-inch Sony LCD. Big mistake, as I needed to subsequently purchase an adapter plate, and the adapter plate costs just as much as the original unit.Make sure to do a compatability check at the manufacturer's website before purchasing. If the unit is compatable with your TV, you cannot go wrong, as the mechanism works smoothly and gives great flexibility relative to its hanging position once installed. Installation is easy, and the instructions provided useful.
Note that the unit is only rated for TVs 37 inches or smaller, but the unit can support up to 80 pounds. It requires only two mounting bolts into a single wall stud.
