Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Palm Stylus 3-Pack (3178WW)Customer Review: Could be better. Summary: 3 Stars
These styli fit my old Palm Tungsten E2 and my newer T/X. I bought them because I thought I had lost my stylus to the Tungsten.
The styli are noticeably lighter in weight than the original stylus. The pin is not useful for the T/X, because the stylus works just as well for resetting. It did help reset the E2, but I actually don't like having the pin, because the tip of the stylus needs to come off to use it and that tip keeps unscrewing.
The pen is a nice feature and it works. I think that is its best selling point. Nice to have a pen with me when I need it.
Overall, I would like a stylus with more weight and I'd prefer it if the tip didn't keep unscrewing on me.
Customer Review: i like them Summary: 5 Stars
I really just wanted a supply of replacements for the stylus that came with my Palm TX but didn't see any on ebay. The only ones i could find were on the Palm site, but the price added up pretty high with shipping. I have Amazon Prime, so...especially after reading positive reviews here, i decided to go for it. I can't feel any difference between these stylii and the one that came with the Palm. There's a slight visual difference in shape on the writing end, but not noticeable or problematic to me. The pens write great. what more can i ask. It's nice to have the pens just in case one is needed. I would buy more of these, gladly.
Customer Review: Cheap substitute Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this product at Staples. I thought I was getting a quality product, but as one of the previous reviews says, these styli are very lightweight and don't feel at all like the original (which I unfortunately lost). I wish I could find a legitimate, original replacement instead of these cheap imitations. The stylus end screws on and off and it keeps coming loose while I'm using it; plus, it is not straight so I'm constantly rotating the whole thing to find the correct angle to tap with. I suppose the only saving grace is the hidden pen, which I didn't know was there until I read these reviews. No matter, I don't like it.
Customer Review: No Guilt in Losing These Summary: 2 Stars
I too would gladly pay $20 for the same stylus that comes with the TX. Although a bulk pack of styli is great for those who are on their PDAs constantly and often misplace styli, I prefer the weight and sturdiness of the original. Since I've begun using one of these new ones I've noticed that the weight feels too light and that both the top and point of the stylus often come unscrewed, which is unnerving. I like the fact that I can lose any of the 3 and not feel bad, but I don't like the quality of these, so I'll keep my original stylus protected in a box and use these cheapy ones for now.
Customer Review: Just great Summary: 5 Stars
I think I ruined my old Palm by tapping on the surface--without a protector--using ball point pens, paper clips, etc., etc. In the end, nothing registered. These styluses, used in combination with a good screen protector, make the process so easy. They are much better than the old hard-tipped stylus I had (and lost). These have a rubber tip that must be more gentle to the screen surface. Naturally, I like to have a small backup supply, because it's easy to lose them.
