Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Palm 3199WW Cradle Kit for Tungsten E2/T5/TX and LifeDriveCustomer Review: Definitely Needs Some Improvements Summary: 3 Stars
I purchased this cradle for my Palm TX. The one thing that really annoys me is the fact that there is an internal light that is always on. I keep it near my monitor, so it can be pretty distracting. It also takes a fair amount of effort to connect your PDA to it. Not only do you need to manually line up the connection points, you have to use a good amount of force to connect and disconnect your PDA from it.
Customer Review: Handy but not smoothe Summary: 3 Stars
I like the cradle kit because it kills two birds with one stone. You can charge and sync at the same time, and you don't have to mess around with wires. That being said though, I find it slightly more difficult to get my palm in the holes just right to perform the operation than it was to simply plug the usb and power cables into the device. It's also slightly annoying that the light stays on all the time.
Customer Review: Don't Waste Your Money Summary: 1 Stars
There's not enough words to describe how bad a purchase this was. It fried my PDA, a TungstenE3. I left it in the cradle to charge while I ran a few errands. Returned home after about two hours and my PDA was dead. Unfortunately I'd had it about two months and there was no warranty remaining, so I was out the money for this useless thing, plus the cost of a new PDA. Save your money..This is a piece of junk.
Customer Review: Poor quality cradle Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this because the T5 is my fifth sucessive Palm PDA, and it did not come with a cradle. The device came with multiple plug adaptors and a universal power supply. The Cradle looks well and has a rather bright light, but the connections are very unreliable. The HotSync button is a poor quality item and frequently does not work. I find I am frequently just using the cable alone to synchronise.
Customer Review: Good product but not perfect Summary: 4 Stars
This is a good product. The only thing that keeps it from being a great product is the cradle lacks the necessary ballast to support the TX. Every time I touch the palm while it is in the cradle, I have to be very mindful because it ALWAYS tips over.
This is not a huge deal just a slight pain in the rear.
Other than that sole issue this is a very good product.
