Customer Review: Cute, but there must be a better solution out there!

When I bought this, it was the only desktop charging cradle available. I needed one, so got it. Since then I see other 3rd party units have come out that include a charging light and are about half the cost. It functions and looks cool - hence two stars. Otherwise, I am not pleased with it - too hard to get the PDA in and out of the unit, no charging light, and most importantly it is not stable enough to allow for accurate writing on the PDA as it constantly moves and tilts with just the slightest pressure.

Highly recommend this docking station for Palm TX (and other compatible Palms). It allows you to use the original sync cord for either an alternate computer...or even better yet when you take your palm on a trip. I have purchased three of these docking stations (yes, I have three computers and I sync on each of them!) One of the docking stations, however, has a sticky button. It does not work as easily as the other two. I called Palm for a replacement, but they would only do so if I sent in mine first (at my expense.) Because it was new I thought they should send me a return mailer, but they would not. This is the only reason I give the product four stars instead of five.Customer Review: Not a Bad Product

This is my first experience with a cradle. I didn't have one with my previous Palm. Although I like it, sometimes the contacts don't make proper connection with the Palm; consequently, the battery doesn't charge and I can't synchronize with my computer. Often times I have to take the Palm in and out of the cradle in the hopes that one of the times the proper connection is made. I don't think this is normal. This is the reason I cannot give this product 5 stars. I think there should be no problem with the contacts once the Palm is placed firmly in the cradle. Aside from that, I like the angle in which it rests in the cradle because it makes it easy for me to use.Customer Review: Cradle is nice... I find the light annoying

I would suggest this to anyone who plunks down the cash for the Tungsten T5. The cradle is reasonably sturdy/heavy/unlikely to fall over when your PDA is sitting in it and looks reasonably nice on your desk. I also think it is much easier than messing around with the cheap adapter and USB cable which comes in the box.
The only thing I don't like about it is the annoying light that is ALWAYS on! If you look in the picture, it is the light gray/non-silver part. It catches the corner of my eye and has been surprisingly distracting -- so much so that I have had to unplug it. Otherwise, I'd have to say it's great and give it all five stars!

I like this Palm synchronizer/charger accessory. It is compact, stylish and it works well. I wish the connector Palm had designed for the TX and other advanced series were a little less difficult to plug in and remove, but that is a niggling criticism. Very glad to have it on my desktop to save a little space and clutter as well as be able to see the TX desktop when I push the sync button on the front of the accessory. It is stable - no toppling or wobbling so far and it adds utility to my Palm TX system - big and growing. It isn't actually too big, so one could take this along when traveling as well. Recommended.
