Product worked as described. I use it on a macbook which has the mini dvi output and then has the hdmi connector to my lcd tv. It is plug and play nothing had to be done to the computer or tv for it to work which is what i like. No sound will go through this though had to purchase a rca cable that hooks up to the microphone jack up on your computer which i then hooked up to my sourround sound system had a spot in the back that was really easy just plug and play. Great product for the price. Serves the same purpose as other expensive cables, but doesn't hit the wallet nearly as hard. I would recommend that anybody who wants a cheap way to connect their Macbook to the TV to go ahead and get this. The Macbook broadcasts 720p high definition through this setup, but you will also need a y-splitter cable with red and white outputs for the audio. The mini-dvi to hdmi only sends the picture. So it's cheaper than cable TV and cheaper than Apple TV, you can't beat it.Customer Review: Great cable and adapter at a bargain price

If you need a mini-DVI to HDMI adaptor for your MacBook, you can either buy it from Apple at a huge markup, or buy this one at a more than fair price. The adapter is original equipment quality and works perfectly.
The HDMI cable is also a huge bargain, since you will pay two to three times more at an electronics store or even a big-box discounter. It is very heavy-duty, and the length allows me to hook my laptop up to the television without blocking everyone else's view. Great products!

I was hoping to use this cable to hook up my Macbook 13" bought in January 2010 to my HDTV. The DVI adapter is too BIG! But it does fit the iMac (bought mid 2008), so I've moved my iMac next to the TV for immediate use. Will have to find a smaller DVI adapter (or break down and actually buy it from Apple...)
But it does work! The picture quality is good and construction of cables seems durable.
It did take ages to arrive after I ordered it though.

I ordered the connector and cable so I could connect my Macbook (2006) to my LG flatscreen. I'm very impressed with the video quality of the connection, though I'm unable to get the audio to play over the TV. After reading more and more reviews, it seems that I'm not the only one to have this problem and it's an issue with the connector. Had I known about this earlier I probably would have purchased a different item. I guess for $8 I can't complain too much.
