I use this cable to attach my Logitech z5500 speakers to an X-fi extreme gamer sound card. It is just the ticket. It does a great job with the digital 5.1 surround sound on movies and delivers clean and crisp sound in movies and games. As this is the first optical interconnect I have used, I have nothing with which to compare it. However, at the price, I don't think you can go very far wrong.Customer Review: Work's like a charm.

Arrived very quickly, and in great condition. I use this to link my MacBook Pro to my Sony AV Receiver mostly to listen to music but also for watching movies. Great sound for the few hours I've been using it. Very crisp, the highs are almost too high......but that may just be from my settings.....length was perfect and connections were snug and secure. I needed to connect my Apple Airport Express to my stereo with a digital-optical cable. The Airport has the Mini Toslink output, for which Apple sells a $40 cable, albeit with RCA and other connections I don't need.
This cable works perfectly. It's all you need to connect your Airport to your stereo with an optical connection.

This cord works perfectly with our high end home AV system. I wasn't convinced that I would get much for the money, but I was willing to take a chance since it was so inexpensive. The wire works great and is well made. No connectivity problems or issues with interference. Don't waste your money on name brands like Monster.Customer Review: Works great. Low price.

I needed this cable to connect our receiver to an HTPC. I originally used a TOSLINK-OPTICAL MINI ADAPTER by Dayton. The Dayton adapter caused the audio to intermittently cut out. Replacing the adapter with this cable fixed the problem. Don't be fooled by the low price. This item performs flawlessly and is high quality.
