Customer Review: Brittle plastic leads to poor product

Electronically, this drive worked as promised and the price was competitive, but the mating of the plastic shell and the metal blade of the actual USB connector is poor. The brittle plastic cracked easily and early, not enduring anything less than ideal conditions. Given that USB ports are often in locations involving blind reaching to the back of computers, PCs are on the floor, and ports are often on the sides and backs of laptops with little room for clearance, I recommend selecting a USB drive made of sterner stuff.Customer Review: Pretty Good Overall

This is overall a pretty good flash drive. It is affordable and has one gigabyte of memory. That is probably enough for someone who doesn't want to keep every little thing they've ever saved on it. It takes a little bit for it to transfer the data, but no biggie unless you're really short on time. Comes with a cap to put on the top (some flash drives don't). It also comes with a string to tie around your neck. Overall an economic choice for a person who needs to carry around data without carrying a bulky diskette.Customer Review: It Ain't as easy as the instructions lead you to believe on Windows 98SE

All the files required were not downloaded from the PNY website.. It also takes WinZip to unzip the files.. It took 4 emails to tech support to finally get all the files required to load the driver... The instructions are as clear as mud to the 'average' computer user (as myself). But, finally, I have the device working....
At least now, I am able to move files from 98 to my new XP machine...

It's pretty decent, but I've started carrying more copies of important documents around for backup. Not music, but actually important stuff that I would be in trouble to lose.
PNY's is decent, but I recently got a Corsair flash drive. It is about 10x faster. The Corsair is much better. And I don't work for Corsair and don't have stock in them. But if you plug a Corsair in, you almost immediately get a response and the transfer speed is incredible.

I just wanted something to download my pictures to, like an insurance policy, in case my computer crashes. I'm not a computer nerd, just a 67 year old grandma. The PNY flash drive seems the perfect solution for me. It's totally user-friendly (a big necessity), holds all my pictures, is permanent and takes up no space (in fact I spent days looking for it when I wanted to update it). I highly recommend it. Just be sure to remember where you store it.
