Customer Review: Used for years with zero problems

I have used many different flash drives and external hard drives for back up of important data (writing mathematics texts with a large volume of graphics). I have put thousands of hours of work into this project, so I make sure to back up regularly and with multiple sources.
I work on two different computers and regularly move my files from one computer to the other by using a flash drive.
Probably because my documents include huge amounts of graphics and video, my (brand new) computers occasionally freeze up and I lose the work since my last save. Also, because of the huge graphics content, I have had many flash drives and 3 external hard drives fail and lose the documents backed up on them.
I have used PNY drives of various sizes and other brands for years and I have never had any failure of any type from any PNY drive.
Also, the PNY drives are considerably faster than all the other flash drives that I have used (Sandisk, Corsair, Kingston etc.). My Maxtor One Touch 4 hard drive is faster than the PNY flash drives, but obviously not as portable. I have not used the Maxtor hard drive for long, so it hasn't had the chance to earn my trust like the PNY flash drives.
Bottom line: If you want a flash drive that you can depend on, my experience says use PNY.

Nice design, although the cap could become misplaced if it unattaches from the end.
I purchased this to use in a car stereo system with USB port instead of my iPod.
I have 25 Gig of music on it, and it takes a while to load EVERY time the car starts up.
I won't be using it for my car (will use ipod instead),but do use it at work USB port in computer for music there.

I absoultely love my new PNY 16GB USB Flash Drive. I really like the extra space for backing up my most important files. Pictures Documents, Etc can all be stored on this one little flash drive with so much space. I've been using my little 2gb flash drive for a while now and haven't had any problems. I got it several years ago when 2gb was a big deal.. now it seems kinda embarrassing, but really it's all I need. I mostly just use it for storing my word documents and such. So.. other than having a small amount of memory it does just fine. It has a little hole through the top where you could attach a string to turn it into a necklace if needed and a protective casing. To access the documents just plug it in the usb and the files and folders appear. No software needed. What more could you ask for?
