Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Philips USA PH-62050 CD/MP3/MD-To-Cassette AdapterCustomer Review: Muffled Highs, Growling Lows Summary: 3 StarsWhile the Philips PH-6250 is a vast improvement over the same gear from Monster (which is unusably bad), I'm still not happy with the clipped muffled highs and rumbling bass. I've tried it in six cars with different sound systems and the audio quality is about the same. I can't really recommend this product, but it is the best one I've tried. It would work OK for spoken word books and podcasts, but music is painful.
Customer Review: Waste of money - constantly reverses directions Summary: 1 StarsI have had a tape adapter for my iPod since way back when they used to cost $5 and WORK. Finally the wires frayed after 5 years so I had to buy a new one and was horrified to see they are now $20+!
I went with this model because it was inexpensive but a good brand name. This adapter absolutely sucks. It constantly reverses directions in the tape deck of my car so that you have pauses in the music every 30 seconds. Don't waste your money on this one.
Customer Review: works perfectly Summary: 5 StarsI was concerned that this cassette adapter would not work in my car's cassette deck because of the auto-reverse feature, over which I have no control, but that is no longer a concern. I have a 1995 Saturn SC1 with a factory tape deck. There is minimal noise between tracks and I can hear no noise when a track is playing. The cord is even in the proper orientation for my deck, so I didn't even have to mess with changing it... plug and play! I have had it for only a couple of weeks, so cannot yet speak to its longevity, but it seems sturdily made. If it turns out to be short-lived, I will update this review.
Customer Review: Philips MP3 to Cassette Adapter Summary: 4 StarsThis is a right product if you don't have any auxilary plug-in for MP3s in your car.
I tried wireless tune-in adapter, but there's much noise when reception is not so good and you have to adjust the channels all the time to get a better reception while you are driving. It's dangerous to do it if you are driving.
This product always delivers sincere sound output to the car speakers except that it provides average sound quality which usully tapes do, not like a CD does.
Customer Review: Works great, nice sound Summary: 5 StarsI was worried about how good the sound quality would be, but after trying one of these, they were dissipitated. The quality of sound is fine and its a cheap (but not low-quality) method of transferring your ipod music to your car stereo system.
