Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Philips USA PH-62050 CD/MP3/MD-To-Cassette AdapterCustomer Review: Great adapter for the price Summary: 5 StarsThis is a great cheap adapter for those of us who don't have money flowing out of our pockets. It works pretty well for the price and I haven't had any problems with it so far.
Customer Review: Works well Summary: 5 StarsI needed to replace my car tape adapter and this one works well. Unlike my first one, this model has a earphone adapter at a 90-degree angle. So the connection is much less likely to deteriorate in the same fashion. My old one stopped working after the spot where the wire and the earphone adapter meet broke down.
Customer Review: Worked great...for awhile. Summary: 2 StarsWhen I bought this product, I loved it. Sounded great, no problems, right? After a few months having the tape converter in my car, the sound from the tape started to get lower, and lower. Now when I pulled on the cord of the tape converter that's in the stereo, the volume would kick back up...for awhile. When the volume gets really low, I would pop out the converter from the tape player, and the radio would be BLASTING! Put the tape back in, and the volume would be extremely low. Now I know its not my mp3 player, since when I pulled on the cord to the converter, the volume would jump back up. This is the fourth time I replaced mine for the same reason.
But this is the only converter that works without spitting the tape back out. Why can't they make something guarantee to work perfect...instead of these cheap o' products under $10? I would love pay $20 for one, if it promise to be the best...but good luck finding it.
Customer Review: Avoid if you have auto reverse (or do this modification) Summary: 2 StarsIf it keeps auto reversing, open it up and take out the rubber brake and the smallest gear. If the sound is really low and lots of hissing, swtitch the tape direction or flip the tape over by switching which side the cord comes from. You can hear the plastic gears moving on the plastic housing (since they weren't designed to spin much until the brake kicks in after a few seconds), but i'm working on that with a rubber washer.
2 stars because of the required modification.
Customer Review: Works great Summary: 5 StarsThe quality of this is excellent. Its sounds amazing, crystal clear, works great, and was delivered 2 days ahead of the earliest expected delivery. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a cheap way to play your own music through your car stereo, and still sounds great.
