Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of PCT International CM7777 Titan 2 Signal AmplifierCustomer Review: From 17 to 27 channels (+10) Summary: 5 Stars
This was a great addition.
I added a 4-bay (bowtie) UHF antenna in the attic, then this amp, then a 10-7-13 yaggi highband VHF antenna. This little guy helped avoid the spotty reception we get in bad weather. Plus allowed me to tie the two antennas together. Overall the reception increased an average of 100% with the amp then with the antennas alone.
So not only did I gain 10 channels, but I also lost all signal drop outs on the 17 channels we got before.
Mind you this is not going to work unless you also buy quality antennas.
Who is crazy enough to still pay for basic cable?
Customer Review: Solved the TIVO premere issues that lots seem to have.. Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this to go with my CM 4228 HDTV antenna. The setup and amplifier I had (radio shack mast mounted) worked well for the last couple of years. (55+ miles from towers)
Then I added the Tivo Premiere for my home theater projector. We have OTA only (no more DirectTV) and missed the ability to time shift....but adding the Tivo caused LOTS of drop outs. Enter the magical 7777..it cleaned up the signal and now have NO issues. I should have done it right the first time! Don't make the same mistake as I did, get the CM7777 the first time ;-)
Customer Review: Channel Master CM7777 Titan 2 Pre-Amp Summary: 5 Stars
A Pre-Amp is to overcome the signal loss from the antenna to your splitter/TV. It also boosts week digital signals to help your tuner to lock on. I have owned Pre-Amps from Wingard and Channel Master; with Channel Master being the best both on quality and results. Wingard may cost less in some cases but they have always broken first and not work as well. I H ave been using the Titan 2 for a week now and works it works great. I have even gotten watchable TV with all the nasty weather we have had lately. I keep a medium range antenna in the attic.
Customer Review: Deep Fringe MUST-HAVE! Summary: 5 Stars
Using this together with a CM deep-fringe combination antenna, a DB-8 UHF-only antenna, and an old RadioShack combo antenna that just won't quit working. I'm combining the RadioShack and DB-8 with a channel combiner into the UHF input and the CM into the VHF input. Signal gained significantly. I'm on the other side of a 1000' hill which is between me and the transmitters at least 25 miles away, and am getting 18 channels (5 HD), not including the analog crap which I just can't watch anymore...
Customer Review: it worked like the other one i had Summary: 3 Stars
i had a old channel master preamp and amplifier and thought if i upgraded it would do better. the old one was about ten yrs old. i have trees all around my house. but i have a very large antenna and it rotates and it on top of my chimney. i am able to pick up about 25 channel but they come and go which was my problem with the old channel master system. the new system didn't help nor hurt me. except for 70 dollars and a half of a day of trying to get better reception. hope this helps someone!!
