This item is reliable, accurate and brainless. I get perfect soft, medium or hard boiled eggs every time, without any watching or timing.
I use this appliance several times a week and it is always flawless.
To the reviewer who didn't like it, I can only say, "HUH?"
I have owned one of these appliances for the last 30 years, am glad that the lid is now plastic, as I used to break the glass lids. I have owned other brands of egg cookers and they are not as good as this one.
I hope they never discontinue this item.
