Customer Review: even better than I expected

Based on a variety of reviews I've read, I had tempered my expectations quite a bit. But the price was right, so I got it for my Xtreme brother for our (twin) birthday. We had planned a ski trip, so we took it along. We had a blast with this camera. We managed to use the rubber helmet strap to put it on his snowboarding helmet. We did some practicing (at home with a tv) to get the angle right, and then we were off. I can see a little bit of the "waviness" I've read about, but only when we were moving at high speeds. The image could be dark at times, but a sunny day at the ski resort provided plenty of light. We were not at all disappointed with our results. I was expecting basically no sound, but we could actually hear each other talk. The picture quality was decent enough, not incredible but better than we expected. The unit was durable and survived some wipeouts. We did find that when I put it on the helmet and skied, we got better shots because I was able to follow him turn for turn on his snowboard, and I had more freedom to turn my head since I was always facing downhill. Overall, this thing is awesome. A great value for the money. I was really impressed with the solidness and durability of the unit. My brother is totally stoked with his gift and was going on and on about all the things he was going to record when he gets home (backflipping his mountain bike into the river, etc)Customer Review: Seems good for the price

I bought this to mount to my track going motorcycle. The season doesn't start for me until April so I'll have to wait until then to really see what this camera can do. I am pleased with the variety of mounting hardware that it comes with and relative ease of operation. I do recommend connecting it to a Windows PC when viewing the footage. I tried it with a Mac and the images were much darker. It also presented some trouble when I failed to eject it properly from the Mac. I had to connect it to the Windows PC in order to get the thing to delete footage. I did not troubleshoot this so I can't say what the issue was but it did work just fine when connected to a Windows PC. Your results may vary.
I think it will do the job nicely. One thing to note is that the microphone is not very strong. It is protected from the elements and therefore nearly muted although I'm sure to get some wind and engine noise from the bike.

The resolution of this "camera" is so poor as to relagate it to the statis of a kid's toy. Granted, it's cheap, waterproof, and nearly immune to shock. Usable videos? Only a distant "sort of"....and that's IF you're sufficiently skilled to actually get it pointed at that which you wish to capture. No view finder = take a guess.Customer Review: Nice for the money.

This little camera is exactly what I was expecting. An inexpensive camera that takes low rez video of decent quality. The mic isn't completely useless but almost. You can remove the mic cover with 2 triangle head screws & replace the rubber seal with a cloth or foam cover. This will increase the wind noise, but you may actually hear someone speaking (barely). The video is actually better than expected. I have been night skiing several times with it & have captured some decent action. Just keep a steady hand unless you want to make your audience dizzy. Even without a preview or sight you can still get what you were aiming at most of the time. Lastly make sure to use 15 frames per second. For some reason my camera cannot sync the audio to the video at 30 frames per second. Its about 1 second off at that frame rate. Anyway this thing is a good value. Don't expect too much and remember it didn't cost much.Customer Review: Action Flash Cam

I have used this as a helmet cam to capture my firefighting duties. This little camera takes great video and with the addition of a SD card it takes over an hours worth. Very durable and easy to operate. I would have liked it to record sound better. I would suggest this camera for anyone wanting to capture any kind of action type video under extreme circumstances. Very good bang for the buck.
