That doesn't make much sense to me...?
OK. I use these in my Canon T1i and T2i rebels. (LP-E8's in the T2i)
The battery life isn't spectacular on the T1i (not bad, either), but then I use fairly big lenses that use up juice when focusing. I could shoot with my Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Lens for Canon DSLR Cameras all day with 2 batteries and not worry about running dry. These optekas are all I use at the moment. I put the original canon batteries back in the box to use as a reference.
Being able to take 4-5 batteries per camera when going out somewhere is nice. That's enough to shoot all weekend if you get stuck. I labeled mine and rotate the batteries so they wear evenly.
They are very cheap compared to canon, so owning 3+ is easy to justify, and if a battery ever does go, you're only out a few bucks.
I use the factory batteries in my Nikon, because they are $35 and complex. With these small canon batteries, it's not an issue. In short, these just work in canon dslr cameras. I gave them 4/5 because they probably are about 80% as efficient as canon batteries. I didn't take cost into factor much.
