Customer Review: Good stand for your center speaker
Summary: 4 Stars

I decided to purchase this stand because I needed a place to put my center speaker. At first when I was assembling it I thought the front pegs were missing, but they were actually screwed into the rear foot assembly. When I first put it on top of the television I was trying to be cautious about scratching the black frame around my 56" DLP TV. Although I was cautious, it still left little scuff marks. So if you're picky about the slighest scratch, I would get this thing all lined up and the rear legs adjusted correctly before setting it on the TV. The key is to not have it move anywhere once it's on top of the TV.

Also, after I set mine up I kept noticing the pegs hanging down, and didn't like it. So what I did was took them off and flipped the platform over. Now the little lip in the front is holding it in place instead. I think it looks alot better, and it seems secure. I'm using it to hold an Athena Micra Center Speaker that only weighs 3 or 4 lbs, so I'm not sure how that would work out for something heavier.

Customer Review: Nice shelf - if you can figure out the instructions!
Summary: 4 Stars

My husband and I bought (2) of these shelves online because Circuit City was charging around $40 each for the same item. We have a Hitachi 57in. DLP TV. We set up the shelves, the instructions were ridiculous, but you can pretty much figure out for yourself how they're suppposed to be put together. After all that, we put our DVD player, VCR, Cable box and xbox on the shelves (DVD and cable box were centered between the 2 shelves). In the middle of the night, we heard a loud bang. Both of them had fallen down. Nothing was damaged, except a tiny ding on the wall that was eaisly fixed. My husband got some industrial strength velcro and put it on the tiny legs that rest on the back of the TV. It's been over a month now and we haven't had any problems since. We probably have a higher weight on them than recommended. The only reason I'd give it 4 stars is because of the instructions that (quoting my husband) "seemed to be written by a 4-year-old".

Customer Review: Not for offset between 2" - 4"
Summary: 3 Stars

Nice, sturdy shelf, but if your TV has an offset over 2 inches but less than 4 inches, then none of the supplied legs will fit. I tried all different ways to use the shortest legs (2" offset or less for the 'shallow back' assembly) or the adjustable legs (offset from about 4" - 7" for the 'steep back' assembly) and neither worked. Called the 800 number to inquire about a solution for a TV with a 3" offset and got the "we're sorry, the shelf doesn't fit all TV's" response. There are even extenders for the adjustable legs to use with TV's with an offset up to 11 1/8". Makes you wonder why they didn't go to the trouble to accommodate the 2 - 4 inch offset range. Perhaps I own the only TV with an offset in their missing range . . . Luckily I do not have a heavy item on the shelf, so I was able to use the short legs and create my own 'extenders' for them.

Customer Review: Works well for holding my heavy center channel
Summary: 5 Stars

I recently purchased this product and have found it to be the perfect solution for putting a center channel on top of a LCD TV set. I was worried that the back of the tv set would be too steep, however the adjustable legs made it possible to fit it properly. For those who may be worried the same, you can measured from the front of the TV back by 12 inches, and down by just over 11 inches. If this will reach the back of your tv, then it will likely work no problem. There are two slots closer to the front to put the legs closer than 12 inches from the fron of the tv, however, I don't know that I would trust supporting the weight like this. The manual says that it will hold up to 30 lbs, and my center which is a healthy 27 lbs, held with no problem whatsoever.

Customer Review: Works great on the Sony A3000 Projection
Summary: 5 Stars

I ordered it in gray rather than Black and the gray overlaps the gray trim edge nicely on my Sony 60A3000, so it is not noticeable that it is even there when viewing from the front. The black would likely look fine, too.

I reversed it as others had. The pegs in front may not be required at all. If one mounted the pegs pointed downward they would extend into the projection's screen. Pegs probably not needed facing upward when mounted upside down for my center channel speaker. It isn't going anywhere.

No problems with it slipping or dropping after 1 month of use.

Highly recommended.

It wasn't at all hard to set up as others had suggested.
